I was in Milan area on business for two days; visiting factories. One factory owner took me to this great restaurant for lunch. Obviously, he knew the best place that the "locals" went to. In a quiet neighborhood, probably very hard to find for tourist (maybe use gps?). The building and decor was very quaint; post and beam open architecture; huge fire-place and mantle (making atmosphere feel like home not commercial); stained glass windows. The owner was out and about on the restaurant floor inter-mingling with the guests; as well as went back to the kitchen to make sure meals were cooked to perfection. He obviously had a lot of pride in his restaurant and business, and had personal interest. Meals were traditional Italian hand cooked, not "commercial Italian menu entries as seen all over the World". Had a seafood/pasta mix that was unbelievable. This is a great, hidden jewel probably only known to the local community.. but I highly recommend it to any traveling tourist (if you can find it). Worth it to go out of the way to find. Atmosphere, Service & Personnel (including owner), and Food all excellent.
