Having stayed at other Sensatori resorts this one has to be one of the best so far, the food selection is fair and there are some very Gourmet experiences to be had.

The all-inclusive is fantastic and includes pretty much everything you can think of with the exception of Wine which you have to pay for.

On our stay there were some resort staff that were totally fantastic and deserves a big mention,

Leslie Main Concierge what a truly genuine person whom totally dedicates herself to the customer 100%, She arranged my Romantic Dinner with my wife what a wonderful memory.

Yadi Concierge 5 What a lovely woman she was very helpful and such a nice person

Migel Door Man what a character all staff should be more like him always a smile on his face.

Isabel Bar Tender Again always a smile on her face and such a friendly helpful person whom also happened to get me hooked on Tequila thanks Isabel

Alfrado Bar Tender Funky funny and a smile as big as the resort what a valued member of staff.

Thomson Staff
Nick: What can I say 6foot lovable character gives fantastic advice
Lola: Great character although she has now left she was wonderful
Kia: Again lovely girl whom has always a big smile on her face and always happy to help
Sue: Although she has just arrived dove straight in (Literally on the Catamaran Trip) lovely woman whom I think is a valued addition to the Staff already there.

Here are a few things to remember, Drink Bottled water not Tap Water, The Ice is made from Filter water and is safe, Always use Sunblock even when its overcast, the Sea is Warm Dip them Toes, Defiantly do the Catamaran Trip and Snorkel you will regret it if you don’t

Room Tip: All rooms are suites with Balconies and Jacuzzi There Are Upgrades but to be honest you dont need to...

all the room locations are excellent, pools and restaurants everywhere so it is not to hard to find anything fast, for a good room with less night noise try to be a bit further than the bars and the main building that way you will have a great experience like we did, the hotel is very secure and the personnel is simply excellent.

My wife and I both 40 + stayed here in Feb
Airline: We flew JetBlue and had a very great experience . Seat have lots of leg room, LCD's in the head rests are a nice touch.
Tour Company: We booked through Save On Resorts.com. We got a great deal but It did require a 90 minute vacation club presentation. This was a pain free process, the club didn't fit our lifestyle so the salesperson and manager thank us for coming in and we were on our way. We were never pressured to make a commitment. It's probably not for everyone but if your looking for an drop dead great price , this site is worth a look.
Resort: Grounds, pools , beds around the pools all beautiful. Rooms are very comfortable , AC worked fine, showers are a nice size.
Restaurants: Everything was OK to me. Nothing great, nothing horrendous . The fact they they call themselves A " Gourmet All-Inclusive" sets the bar pretty high. They don't meet that level in my eyes but nothing was a deal breaker. My wife and I both liked the seafood restaurant for lunch and dinner the best.
Location: Nothing within walking distance worth looking at. Although we did walk over to the Secrets resort next door and hung out for a couple of hours.
Overall: Listen , for what we paid its was well worth it but I would not say this is a top AI in the area. We both felt Secrets Capri blew this place way. Weddings on the beach looked cool..

Stayed at Sensatori Mexico for 2 weeks and had the best time ever. On arrival at the hotel we were greeted with a glass of champagne and a cold face cloth which was a lovely touch.

We had to wait 30 mins until our room was ready but it was not a problem we just grabbed a drink in the sun. When we arrived at the room it was well worth the wait it was massive and immaculate. It had a huge king size bed, Jacuzzi in the corner, plasma tv, rainforest shower, his & hers sinks, it was perfect.

The grounds of the hotel are kept well maintained and beautiful to look at. There are 5 huge swimming pools which vary from children, quite and adults only with a swim up bar. They is also cabana beds as well as sun loungers which were fab. The hotel is situated on a beach it is nice but does have 2 be cleaned every day by tractor to remove the excessive seaweed.

Sensatori has 6 restaurants to choose from there is the spoon which is a buffet, tapas, mexican, Caribbean, italian and le chique. You don't have to book in any apart from le chique which is a Michelin star/gourmet inclusive. Its basically a 14 course meal. you are in the 4 2 hours+ but it is an experience! we only made it half way through as the longer we were waiting the more wine we were drink and the louder we were getting. Our personal favorite was the italians (deffo go 4 the veg lasagna or veal) There is also a BBQ buffet on the beach every lunch time which is beautiful.

We did 2 excursions, 1 was a catamaran/snorkeling trip to isle mujures which was was amazing really recommend doing it. We also did the Cancun bar crawl we went 2 senior frogs, hard-rock, and coco bongos which was amazing! We also did 2 shopping days 1 to playa del carmen and 1 to cancun. You can just book these at the concierge desks by the pool, you get picked up and hotel and dropped back off to.

The entertainment in the hotel was pretty poor most night. It was more so aimed at children and finished pretty early. We spent most night in the mojito bar (they do 31 different types of mojitos) where we meet a brilliant bunch of people and made our own entertainment. They also have a BBQ beach party once a week which is brilliant also you play games, dance to bob marly its a good laugh.

This hotel defiantly deserves its 5 stars. It exceeded our expectations and we would deffo recommend it. We had the Sensatori moment for 2 weeks! It has brilliant staff, great food, beautiful views and the sun is always shinning. what more could you want?! Don't hesitate just book it!!

My wife and I just spent five days at the Azul Sensatori in one of the Junior Jacuzzi suites. Our overall experience was very enjoyable. A few slight negatives...somewhere we read online to enjoy the lazy river and float to the swim up bar....there is no lazy river. The first floor suites do have access to water right outside their room but it certainly isn't by any means a lazy river-the water doesn't move. Not a very big deal. The food is good---not five star gourmet, Some meals are better than others but none can be called gourmet,
We had read the negatives...too many weddings--we saw no weddings---too many noisy kids--we stayed in the adult section but walked the premises frquently and saw relatively few kids. Service was excellent and my wife was concerned about the security before arriving.....very, very secure. The outside covered four post beds surrounding the adult pool are so, so cool. Their are about 20 that surround the adult pool. Get up early and save one with your towells--they go quickly and if you miss out you're just SOL.
Cab fare anywhere from the Azul is pricey--Cancun $45...Playa Del Carmen $45...Puerto Moreles and there's not muh there..$30. All cab prices are fixed..no negotiating. BRING ALL YOUR NECESSATIES...the gift shop prices are CRIMINAL. First aide cream --$25.50...Excedrin....$19.50. Most everything was priced to gouge. Overall we still had a great time..hope you do.

Room Tip: Go for the adult section if at all possible.

We selected Puerto Morelos area because we heard the beach (ocean floor) was better than further south. It was still rocky on the ocean floor.

The resort is too far from the main roads to walk out to ride with local transportation so you need to pay $45 for taxis into Playa del Carmen or Cancun.

The resort was at full occupancy but did not feel full. There is plenty of poolside edge so there were always seats.

This is a family resort and I would not recommend it for people who are looking for good shows, adult lounges etc. The shows were not great and none that I needed to stay awake for. perhaps it was the number of children milling about the lounge that did not make it a place I wanted to be.
Restaurants - only one took reservations and would not allow our group of 7 to reserve because they did not push tables together. Discrimination against larger groups is how I see this. Be prepared not to be seated until your entire group arrives. We heard that the offer of cash helped one group obtain a reservation that was previously not available.

Service was excellent. Perhaps that was because our Sunwing agent suggested a ridiculous amount to tip - $3 pp for dinner. it quickly added up! The desk clerks stated tipping was included in your vacation so I am not sure how the Sunwing representatives were receiving their share. We always tip, we appreciate the hard work and service but this time something was not right. The employees are excellent.

There is an adult only section - if you are a couple then please insist on this section. The premium jacuzzi suites, non ocean view appear to be desirable. Room service is available 24 hrs day.Unfortunately we booked for the adult only section but between Sunwing and the hotel we ended up in the family section, something I would never book.

Concierge service - I think they were there to sell things, not assist you with the issue of the restaurant not allowing us to make a reservation.

Food - generally okay - average.

Our magnetic room key quit working but was resolved quickly.

Dress code is an issue at this resort and information is not readily available on their website. Shoes and pants are required, even at the buffets. something that is not common in other resorts.

I may consider this resort if I got a specific room and was only looking for relaxation in one place. The poolside beds outside of the rooms is a nice touch.
