Arsemo was a very attentive staff member while we were eating breakfast at the buffet.
He literally couldn't do enough for you. He's a hard working team member.
Honestly, all the staff at the Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort were awesome, very friendly, helpful, and accommodating!! The facility is beautifully maintained and extremely well appointed with many restaurants, pools, bars. Entertainment was varied and fun!!
We attended a wedding there and it was lovely!!

Just got back last night. We went from June 19-26. First time at this resort. My husband and I were just going to go to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary as well as my 40th birthday. We had been looking at some other resorts that were adults only until we decided to make it a family trip. This resort from the moment you walk in gives you a sense of tranquility. From the lobby you can see the ocean. Amazing! We were whisked away to our privilege concierge are (first time it truly felt exclusive since you had to have a key to enter). My only complaint upon arrival was that we were not greeted with a glass of champagne as we usually are (5th trip to Mexico). We were immediately given our rooms which as UVC members we had ocean view rooms which were incredible. As with all our trips we at the World Café (buffet) the first night. The next day and night was where everything turned amazing! We spend all our days at the pools and we were provided excellent service by Efrain (I think that's the spelling). We did not ever have to really ask for another beverage as he kept an eye out....regardless of where we were located. They are keeping track of so many guests and to have service like that was impeccable. We have pretty much never had service like that here at home. That night the family wanted to try Portofino (the Italian restaurant) as they themselves are Italian. We did not realize how small and intimate each of the restaurants really are as again this was our first time at this resort and also the smallest of all the resorts we have been to. We received a buzzer just as you would here in the US and thought nothing of it. Well again family trip so the kids were hungry. We could see empty tables in the Mexican restaurant (El Patio) so we decided to see what the wait time was. I accidentally went in the wrong (back) door and was immediately greeted by David. He directed me to the hostess stand and we were immediately seated. David was our waiter....I have NEVER experienced the type of amazing/fun (well there are not enough adjectives) service he provided us. Not only did we have the best service but he asked us if we would like help making a reservation for our party of 7 at Portofino the next night. He took care of this for us....and not only that he came each night to the restaurant we were in just to make sure we were having a great time. We made sure he knew we would be spending our last night with him for sure. He truly made our experience memorable. David set the bar high for all the other restaurants. He did not realize that at the time but he let us know that he would be off the next day and would be spending some time with his family. We told him we were headed home as well. We actually ran into him at the airport! When we checked our Israel was very welcoming and helpful. We were not treated like guests who were leaving but the same as when we arrived.

Do not worry about the seaweed in the other reviews. It is normal for that location(Puerto Morelos). We stayed at Ocean Tourquesa a couple years ago (which is right next door) and it was the same). They do what they can to minimize it and clean it daily. Remember there are things out of the resorts control. You can not grade on weather.

This was by far the resort with the most weddings I have ever seen. Typically on a trip we might see 1 or 2 in the week. They were setting up daily for at least 2-3 weddings. Every single one was different and looked absolutely amazing.

Only a couple of small cons that are super fixable. 1. ask for a stir stick (as this can be washed/sterilized and reused) not a straw (there are signs at the bar) as you will find your alcohol to sit at the bottom of your drink. Then keep it the whole time. You do not need a new one every time. 2. It was the first time we were not shown to our room and only pointed in the direction. We did not receive a resort map...but honestly you do not need it. It's a small resort.

The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful and accommodating. If you want/need anything seriously just ask. Remember you are a guest in their country. If you do not speak their language do not expect they fully understand you either. There is no need to be rude or mean to the staff. They are all doing everything they can to provide you with the best vacation experience.

I also included this in a previous review so I will include it again. Tipping will help. They are extremely grateful. Tip your maid. She cleans your room daily. Place $1 or $2 on your bed before you leave your room for the day. Also I like to go to the dollar store and buy items for the maid before we go. These are expensive luxuries to them and they are appreciative of them. (items to consider: pens of color, hair ties, head bands, activity books for children). Also if you are not tight on cash or are not planning any additional trips for the next year leave your toiletries. They can be cleaned and reused by your maid.

Over all it was a fantastic vacation. There are so many places to chose from with our UVC membership) so I do not know if or when we will make it back but the most important thing is that I would definitely return to this resort no questions asked.

Andres was a wonderful crew member and always made sure to include our family in activities. He was funny, clever, and tried to make sure we felt welcome. The entire entertainment staff was amazing and always did their best to express instructions in both English and Spanish, making everyone feel the joy. Andres was an excellent bike tour guide and made sure we knew the history of the places we visited. I am extremely grateful to have met a team like this!

Alex has a very enlightened sense of humor. For example, my sister said "I was wondering wear Andres was because I wanted to take a selfie with him." Alex's reply was "with that thing? are you sure?" Then Alex walked over to near where Andres was and yelled "CHICKEN!! CHCKEN! CHICKEN!!!!" until he came because Andres' nickname is Chicken Little

Room Tip: 4th floor are nice view. First floor have plunge pools.

Daniel was so kind to everyone. He was funny, danced a little at shows, and interacted with us during pool volleyball, beach volleyball, and more! Daniel went above and beyond to make our vacation fun and exciting. We liked him so much that we got his Instagram and Facebook accounts and friend requested him on both. My sister and I both did this.

Room Tip: A good view floor is from floor four. First floor plunge pools.
