“beautiful beach home getaway”

We needed an easy, friendly, gorgeous beach experience. This is it, beautiful home, steps to beach, quiet patio and pool. We loved our daily swims at dawn ( and again at noon and on...), walking the beach to town, fresh fish, fruit and vegies at home, and fabulous locale eats.
Mostly our spacious, beautiful peaceful home patio living, with all the amenities, suited the need for R n R, with the Caribbean right here, waving at us.
The reef snorkelling was fabulous. Puerto Morelos is a wonder removed from the resort scene. We'll go back with our grandkids!

“Lovely Place”

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful beach side apartment. You can open up the windows and smell the fresh beach when you wake up! We accidentally broke a water can, but the owner was very relaxed about it and also our late check-out was granted immediately. Perfect! The apartment is located only minutes away from the town square, where you have a lot of little restaurant. As the owner told us there are bad restaurants in Puerto Morelos, and boy was he right! We enjoyed the food even more since we just came out of the all-in resort where the food was horrible.
Would definitely recommend staying here!

Management Response

So happy you had a great stay! And just to clarify, I said there are NO bad restaurants in town. I think that was just a typo.

Thanks again!

“Ideal place for Puerto Morelos”
Reviewed 3 August 2016 for a stay in July 2016

The place simply made our vacation enjoyable. The location is perfect, far enough from town beach to let us feel completely alone on some days and close enough to the city center to offer us great choice of restaurants. The beach is great, although couple of days the waters were somewhat polluted by floating plastic (still much better than the town beach) and the sea is always calm because of barrier reef. Snorkeling on the reef can be provided at the beach bar next door to the condo for very reasonable prices (verified with insider track). The bar is great by itself even though it caters to tourists only with all the following consequences. Reasonably interesting snorkeling can be done from the beach (look for bottom dips near shoreline) to observe barracudas, big trigger fish and so on
Inside the apartment is spacious, bright, and comfortable providing all one needs for a perfect holiday time. The rooms are well air conditioned! We tried to save energy and use it sparingly but many times this feature was our savior. One minor point we wish could be improved is bathroom design, which lets too much water of the floor requiring constant wiping to keep the room in clean condition.
Importantly, it's easy and pleasant to deal with the owner during reservation process, we would highly recommended this property (or alternatively keep it a secret to go there again, we haven't decided yet).

“Fantastic Condo Rental”
Reviewed 26 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We stayed at Casita Blanca Condominium A1 for eight days in July. What a wonderful experience! There were no problems getting the keys from Mayan Riveria Properties, even though we were a couple of hours early. The condo is about half a mile north from the Town Square of Puerto Morelos, which made for easy access when we wanted to eat out or just walk into town on the beach. Our party of five had plenty of sleeping options, with two bedrooms plus a fold-out futon in the master bedroom and another futon in the living room. Having two bathrooms was also very nice with this extended family group.
The condo was sparkling clean when we arrived, with beach and bathroom towels ready for use. There is air conditioning in the unit, but we tried to be conservative with its use, knowing how expensive it is in Mexico. Most of the time we had a wonderful cool breeze blowing into the unit, but there were a few times when we had to use the air due to no breeze or a hot, dry wind. The extended patio was a real bonus for this unit. It appeared to be the only condo with this extra shady space, and we used it the entire time as a cooler area to relax in out of view.
We used the beach area reserved for the condo every day. One of the best things about it was that it was roped off, and vendors left us alone unless we wanted to walk over to the rope and visit with them. I could leave my e-reader wrapped up in a towel and never have anyone bother it while I was out swimming or snorkeling. The swimming pool was rarely crowded; it was an excellent place to relax after showering off the salt water.
The only thing we had a problem with was the safe located in the condo. We can usually operate these, but this was a persnickety one that just wouldn't work for any of us (and we all tried several times using the directions).
This was the first time we had rented a condo for our vacation, and we would certainly rent this one again. The location is wonderful, we were thrilled that Puerto Morelos was still the same great place we remembered, and we all felt lucky not to have to deal with the big hotels that are popping up along this beautiful beach. Twenty pesos to grab a cab into town for dinner, easy laundry and grocery access. Wonderful local restaurants!

Liked best: Location and price
Liked least: The reef was not as diverse as I had hoped, and the current was very tiring with the life vests we had to wear. I am used to snorkeling without this handicap, but this has nothing to do with my satisfaction with the condo.

My wife and I met my parents In cancun and stayed here in Puerto Morelos for a week. The condo is in great condition with modern upgrades. This unit is the best one in the complex as you get the nice porch area right next to the pool and a large courtyard area with outdoor shower. You can walk to the beach in 20-25 steps, there is a nice tiki shade for the sun and kayaks to use. The town has a nice small feel to it and you can walk to downtown in 15 minuets or pay 20-30 peso for a taxi. There are alot of nice resturaunts down town and on the way to down town. Unico next door has very good civice and we had it everyday. I am looking forward to coming back in the next 1-2 years and look forward to working with Dr Stephen again!
