We spent my 30th birthday at Zoetry Paraiso de la Bonita in March 2012. This was our second trip to Zoetry (honeymoon March 2010). Both trips left us longing for another stay at this fabulous resort! Our honeymoon suite in 2010 was picture perfect (outdoor shower, plunge pool, etc.). We had 7 days there and managed to take a shopping excursion, have a couples massage, participate in a "Mayan night", the Temazcal ritual, and of course, relax by the pool. Our most recent trip was only 4 days and we opted for a regular king room over the honeymoon suite. This room was just as nice and spacious. We took full advantage of the 24 hour room service, our patio with a hammock, spa, cigar rolling class, and catamaran cruise on our last night there. The owner of the resort was also there celebrating his birthday with family and friends. The grounds are impeccable and the service was spot-on during both of our trips. The food and drinks are amazing and the quality was well above average for an all inclusive resort. We continue to talk about what we will do the next time we vacation there. Usually we leave vacation needing a "vacation from our vacation". Not the case with Zoetry! We left relaxed and refreshed! We can't wait to go back!

This resort has all the luxuries you could ask for without the "formal" feeling. The food is AWESOME! Best food we have eaten anywhere, let alone an all inclusive resort. We took full advantage of the activities including a couples massage, wine tasting, ceramic painting by the pool, dinner on the beach, Catamaran tour at sunset, and shopping excursion. We were thrilled to find out that they had on on premise marina that offered experienced and engaging activities. We were excited to join Bob on a breathtaking scuba excursion, we were able to see a sunken ship and the second largest reef in the world. Douglas at La Bonita was very informational and excited to show us all the great services they have to offer! This place is truly breathtaking and we will definitely be back. Perfect honeymoon!

I came here alone - healing recent hurts -and this was perfect. Smaller resort, the beach is right at your fingertips whereever you are, food was incredible, all staff interactions were friendly with that beautiful Mayan/Mexican attitude, the spa was great, the other guests friendly and considerate. I never felt awkward about being alone. Snorkeling excursion with Douglas and Paco was so great, with perfect service. Water was clear, reef was beautiful, saw so many fish . Douglas was great in setting up everything for the week. Shout outs to Frederico (poolside), Jonas y Raul (La Canoa), Douglas y Paco (excursions), Loudas (spa), the front desk staff, and so many others for your kind and attentive service. You have contributed to my healing and I leave feeling good!

This review is a late posting because we were waiting for hear back from management about a couple of issues. We stayed mid/late May.

My husband and I travelled with our 28 year old son and his girlfriend. D&I were staying for 16 nights and J&B for 14. Cancun is a 10 hour flight from London so it's not somewhere to pop to for a long weekend so we decided to make the most of it.

Our suite was on the ground floor with a tiny, shallow pool. The bed was good and we loved the Bulgari toiletries but there was no bidet in the bathroom.

For purists the "champagne" is a full sized bottle of Mexican sparkling wine. In the UK (as in much of Europe) it would be illegal to describe this as champagne but we had it once or twice. There was a Nespresso coffee machine in every suite but the capsules didn't get replaced. It didn't matter who we asked - the guy replenishing the mini bar, the maids, room service, they weren't replaced. Glasses didn't get restocked. It can't be difficult, can it? When we arrived our "daily fruit basket" comprised of three apples. As the days went by, they stayed. Eventually I ate one. Was it replaced? No. Did they remove the two and put something else? No. So for our 16 nights, the daily fruit was three then two apples. If the hair dryer was plugged in behind the desk in the sitting area, the lead wasn't long enough to sit and dry your hair, you had to stand and lean forward.

But why, oh why, did the hotel decided to work on every amenity at the same time? The main pool's edge tiling had been removed so there are signs everywhere telling you to avoid mishap. The works were done under the cover of darkness but there was a film on the pool every morning and the water level was low. The thalassotherapy pool had been drained to a couple of inches of water at the same time so couldn't be used and they decided to refurbish the marine shack which sits between the to so there was banging and drilling. The same music was being played everywhere on a loop day after day. Chirinquito was closed more than it was opened due to low levels of occupancy yet in our opinion, was the best place to be.

Turn down service varied from 6pm to 10.30. Twice we were missed entirely by housekeeping for a daily clean yet the resort claims there are three services a day. We and J&B were regularly locked out of our rooms and had to go for a new key. One day J&B went to their room to find that rose petals had been placed everywhere inviting "Mr & Mrs Williams" to enjoy their honeymoon. We'd been at the resort for a week and our surname isn't Williams (apologies to Mr & Mrs Williams if they didn't get the welcome they'd expected!).

On day 14 someone from Guest Relations rang to invite us to contact them to discuss what they could do for us on our vacation. Really? Day 14? Day 15 they rang us with their "daily call" to check that everything was ok. It was the second call we'd received, the first being the one on day 14 mentioned above.

One morning I awoke with a bang, literally. They had decided to drop the wooden rafters on the balcony of the suite above so at 8.30 there was the most almighty row. Given that occupancy was so low, why couldn't it have been arranged that they clear a few rooms and then carry out essential maintenance. They could have left a note to say that it was going to happen and they'd move us to another room, but no, they just dropped the roof.

OK, rant over. The staff are amazing, happy people who go out of their way to serve you. The food was generally good but menus repetitive to the extreme especially again because of occupancy levels when they decided to rotate restaurant closures.

However, despite all the above, we'd return ...

Room Tip: All suites are the same size. The only difference is whether you opt for a pool (not private and to...

My wife and i had a getaway w/ another couple for 5 days in Puerto Morelas - and from the pickup at the airport to the drive back to the airport it was an awesome vacation! Transporation provided both ways included in the package, a quick drive (20 min.) from the Airport and we arrived. No standing in line to check in - we had a personal tour of the resort, and were taken to our rooms where our bags were waiting for us. To the pool we went and the service was first rate! Charlie boy was our pool waiter and he took such good care of us we went back to his area every day. It was our first time all inclusive and absolutely loved their service, no waiting for beers - they brought you buckets on ice if you wanted them! The restraunts had great food - some of it was pretty fancy for us but the sushi bar was great, the grill, and the two restraunts as well. We can't wait to schedule another trip to this or another Zoetry resort!

Room Tip: More privacy by requesting a second or third floor room - but the first floor rooms have small cooli...

My wife and I absolutely love Zoetry. Last year for our honeymoon we stayed at the Zoetry in Los Cabos and loved every second of it. The food is 5 star and very creative. It is a variety of the healthiest foods. For example the juice at breakfast is all pureed fruits. You'r really getting apple, pineapple, orange, cucumber, and grapefruit juice. This sounds so simple but we really appreciate the little things. Also, the property is pristine. Every morning they carefully groom the grounds. Best of all every single person you pass greats you with a hello and a smile. Not to mention they have the best selection of alcohol I have ever saw at an all inclusive (Don Julio, JD, Gray Goose, JW Black, Belvedere). We decided to go back to Zoetry for our one year anniversary so we went to Paraiso de la Bonita to try something new. It was like an extension of our honeymoon. Amazing staff (Antonio), unbelievable food, best drinks I have ever had (Thanks to Jimmy) and the best hotel room ever (and I have been all over). You are between a jungle and the second largest coral reef in the world. The whole resort is extremely clean plus they clean your room 3 times a day. The staff really makes the trip perfect. Everyone was so kind and would bend over backwards to help. Every time we leave a Zoetry resort its sad because you build such a rapport with the staff. I hope Jimmy (the best bartender ever), Antonio (great guy and very hard working, made us feel like home), and Luis (who taught us spanish every morning at breakfast) get the recognition they deserve. Hope this review helps; next stop Zoetry in Punta Cana

Room Tip: Pick Mikonos. At the top with a great view.

My husband and I have just returned from a one week stay at Zoetry where we celebrated our anniversary. We can't stop raving about the resort and our time spent there!!!! Like many people we were initially scared by some of the negative comments we read on here, but our experience at Zoetry was FANTASTIC! Here is a run down of our favorite things:

1. THE SERVICE!!! My husband and I can't get over the amazing service that was provided by the staff at Zoetry! We had hardly been at the resort an entire day and it seemed as if the staff all knew us by name! Antonio helped us around the pool and to be honest with you we hardly left our little area because Antonio took such great care of us! I absolutely loved the fact that each morning I could relax, eat, take a walk and then go to the pool to find our lounge chair ready and waiting. There was no rushing at the crack of dawn to try to save a chair. Thanks Antonio!!! Jimmy in the library made the best cocktails and our evenings weren't complete without a trip to the library bar for a night cap! Jimmy made a fresh blueberry mojito that was YUMMY!
2. THE FOOD! We ate at all the restaurants and enjoyed the food! There was not a buffet to be seen and we were thrilled by that! The coconut french toast was my favorite way to start the day! I also enjoyed the sushi at lunch by the pool. We ordered room service a couple of times and found it to be quick and tasty as well!
3. THE POOLS! We stayed at the main pool most of the time and it was lovely! It was a nice place to meet new people but it was never over crowded or loud. The salt water pool was also very relaxing.
4. THE ATMOSPHERE! This was truly a place to relax! There was no thumping dance music, whistle blowing or screaming and yelling. The grounds of the resort were very well maintained and we enjoyed looking at all the local animals.
5. OUR ROOM! We stayed in the San Juan suite and it had the most amazing views! I was so happy to find out that our bathroom looked just like the website's pictures. Our room was beautifully decorated and comfortable. The matress was firm, but my husband and I slept well each night.
6. THE MARINA! We signed up with Doug for the snorkel and sail and we were not disappointed. We spent the afternoon snorkeling the reef, eating lunch aboard the boat and enjoying a nice afternoon sail.

Thank you Zoetry for a wonderful week!
