The Posada el Moro in Puerto Morelos is a really nice small hotel and a very economical price .The owner Miguel and his wife are so helpful and nice people .This is my second time there in a different room and just as nice as the previous one .The young man who assists, helped me arrange my further accommodation in Holbox.Would always stay there on my next visit

Room Tip: Our first stay was on the front with a nice kitchen dining area 2 queen beds .Second visit was 1st f...

Had a good stay here at the end of our Mexico holiday - very handy for airport since we had a car. Nice small pool, nice rooms - well decorated, spacious, and good modern air con which was not noisy (unlike many other hotels we stayed in). Very friendly staff as well.

Charly, the young guy at the reception, was very nice and helped me a lot to make the best of my time in lovely Puerto Morelos. For example he gave the very good tip to go to Crococún Zoo, which really is a fanastic (and unusual :) ) experience. Thanks again Charly! The owner Miguel was also very helpful.
My room was really nice, with walls painted in beautiful colours like blue...it really feels like being at the seaside :)
I really appreciated the bottle of free water every day and the room was always clean.
The price is very fair and the location is great, one block away from the harbour, the beach and the centre. Down the street there are several restaurants and taquerías with great food (e.g. tacos@com).
The only drawback is breakfast and especially the service at breakfast time: you get coffee, orange juice (not fresh), toast, jam and some fruits. Service is very slow and every day I had to ask if they could please bring me some milk, sugar and butter. They did not even ask if I preferred tea instead of coffee...If breakfast and the related service were better, I would give full points here instead of four.
Overall this place is really nice and convenient, so would definitely suggest to stay here and maybe have brekfast somewhere else :)

Not being content with our current accommodations that were on the beach, I inquired for a room at this posada. The room are beautifully painted, clean and comfy, with all necessary amenities including air conditioning and a big bottle of spring water. Our room had a queen bed, a double sofabed plus a single bed hidden under the queen bed.
Only drawback was the breakfast which was a very continental. Grab a coffee at the espresso bar on the main square.

Room Tip: I can get noisy in the back.

Delightful hotel in Puerto Morelos. Near the ocean, near food. A quiet little town outside the hustle and bustle of industrialized tourism that blights such a beautiful coast. Well maintained, economical. Can't go wrong.

Room Tip: Suites have a nice kitchen, jr suites a fridge and lots of space.

Nice family-run hotel that feels ‘authentic’. Great location right near the main square and beach. The room we were shown to on the 1st floor felt rather ‘exposed’ in the sense that there were sliding glass doors and no safe. The air conditioning unit was very noisy too. I had e-mailed the hotel a few days prior to arrival to request a room on a higher floor and when I reminded the owner there was no problem and he showed us to a room on the second floor a bit more out of the way which was much better and the air con less noisy. The rooms are simple and kept very clean.

Staff are friendly and very laid back. Breakfast which was included in the room rate was very basic consisting of fruit, coffee and toast. The bread they toasted wasn’t very nice, the sweet tasting packet stuff. You could buy water and cans of pop in reception for low prices which was handy. We didn’t use the small pool but we swung in the hammocks in the pretty, well-kept gardens.

Yes the rooster does make a racket very early in the morning but we kind of got used to it in the end, although I do wear ear plugs anyway. We heard all sorts of tropical birds during our stay, one sounded like a firework, amazing!

Room Tip: Some rooms have louder A/C than others. We stayed on the second floor of the rear building which had...

We wound up here after deciding to extend our vacation 3 more days. Rates are great and the staff were all friendly and helpful.Entire hotel is VERY clean. People were always cleaning the grounds. Beds were wonderful. We had a suite with a kitchenette. We had lots of room and closet space. From the front it doesn't look like much, but once you step inside and through the lobby are beautiful gardens and a great pool. Rates include a continental breakfast. If you desire more, the restaurant in the lobby serves a full breakfast with eggs etc. very cheap. Great view of the ocean from the palapa covered top deck. Would definitely stay here again. It is located just steps from the town square where all the restaurants ad grocery store are located.
