Ripplewood was suggested to us by the Ventana Wildlife Society as a place to stay when we came to Big Sur to see the VWS reintroduced condor population. Living in the redwoods of Humboldt County, we are quite familiar with rustic and loved Ripplewood. It was surprisingly quiet and we came at a time when nearly all of the wild gardens around the cabins were blooming. We stayed in #16 as it was the only cabin available that had two bedrooms.. It was perfect and relatively quiet; upon walking the grounds I don't think there was a 'bad' choice of cabin. A kind staff that shipped back our forgotten pillow with a laugh and a "No problem". We will return and we will stay at Ripplewood again.
