Not Dissapointed when food arrived which was very hot and tasty. We will definitely come again despite travelling 45 mins from home.

Had a delightful time at this charming pub. It was extremely busy and we hadent booked but they found usa table. In the furtue I will definitely book. I had hazelnut coated brie to start and it was amazing. The nut roast was one of the best I have tasted. And the sticky toffee pudding was out of this world.

Passed 'The Moody Cow' whilst attempting t house-hunt in Herefordshire and checked it out upon return to base. A booking followed, and the first visit was an unqualified success/ Great menu, thoughtfully built up, well-cooked and delivered to an excellent standard. GPS wil take you to the door if you're uncertain: let the lovely staff do the rest.

Four of us visited having booked from Spain by telephone the night before. The place is beautiful and the staff warm and friendly. We waited a little too much for the food and one large table that arrived after us were attended to before but not to worry. A young waitress was noticeably inexperienced but everyone has to start somewhere. The food was wonderful, the portions were generous. I had the Moody Cow pie which while flavoursome contained an awful lot more gravy than filling. The rest of our group were delighted.

We are staying in ross on wye just for one night so checked out recommended restaurants in the area on TA. The Moody Cow sounded great. I asked our hosts at the Bridge House B&B (lovely place !!) if they had been and they gave it a glowing report. One slight problem we have our 20 month old Charlie with us in explained to the lady on the phone "No problem" was the welcome reply. The pub/resteraunt has a lovely garden area with seating outside a sign welcomes children but only with we behaved adults which also put our minds at rest. We shared a starter of chicken parfait with buttery toasted brioche which was delicious. Our mains of duck and of slowly cooked pork belly were also excellent and the service was great. Okay so we also had a pud (rude not to) I had blueberry cheesecake (superb) Lisa had chocolate brownies and by the sheer silence for 6-7 minutes I'd say they were pretty good. Hats of to Chris for his jovial manner and friendly banter we were made to feel at home. Would we come again yes in a flash.
