We stayed with Fiona and John at their B and B for 4 nights mid June 2018. It was truly outstanding. We have stayed at some very prestigious 5 star hotels inc Four Seasons , Loews and Corinthia and this was truly comparable but more intimate. The quality of the accomodation was as good as it gets . Perfect beds , pillows , facilities , lounge with spectacular views of the loch ,great breakfast and lastly very attentive , friendly ,considerate and generous hosts who made sure all our needs were catered for . They are also very knowledgeable of the Island and able to give good advice . All in all we cannot think of anything to criticise

Wonderful stay with Fiona and John, very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful house in amazing setting. Comfortable beds, great facilities, great breakfasts! Homemade cake and coffee always in tap whenever we returned from our journey's around Skye. Loch Bay restaurant, one of the islands finest, 5 minutes walk. The Three Chimneys Inn one of the counties finest, 25 minute drive. Quite simply, the best B&B we have ever stayed at!

We just checked out this morning and I’m wishing we had booked a longer stay. Fiona and John have created the most idyllic, cozy BnB I’ve ever been to. The rooms are lovingly well appointed and the views are absolutely gorgeous. John and Fiona are so generous with their time and are extremely knowledgeable about Skye. The breakfasts are hearty and delicious. Since Loch Bay restaurant was closed, we walked down the road to the Stein Inn for dinner. Yes, the Barman is crabby, but we had good food and wine and the waitresses are sweet and efficient. If you’re planning a trip to Skye, do yourselves a BIG favor and book a room at Cottage Stein.

We have just enjoyed four glorious days at The Cottage Stein, sheer luxury in perfect surroundings. Fiona and John's friendly personal service and attention to detail was exemplary. Everything was excellent from the choices at breakfast, beautiful bed linen, enormous bath towels, not forgetting the superb drench shower. Many thanks. Hope to see you again soon.

I am not usually prone to quoting Tina Turner but rather reluctantly in case I cannot get a future reservation that is the case here! We spent three days here at the start of a 15 day trip to the highlands and outer Hebrides and have stayed in several highly rated B&Bs. There is no doubt that this one is a step up from all of them. It is a little more expensive but that is to be expected. We really loved the location - the weather was perfect which helped - and we had the ground floor room with the lovely deck so were able to sit outside late every afternoon in the sun enjoying a drink, cake and the stunning view. We were made most welcome by the charming owners and enjoyed all the extra “goodies” and wonderful breakfasts.

We went out on a boat trip with the next door neighbour, and enjoyed meals at the Edinbane Inn and the remarkable Three Chimneys. We also walked to the local pub, The Stein Inn, one evening (OKish!!) . There is no doubt that staying here was the highlight of a great trip. We probably would not come back to the Hebrides again but I might find an excuse to come back here - I was so relaxed when left that I almost forgot to pay!!

Room Tip: I am sure both are great - downstairs has the lounge attached which although not private almost always is due to the layout
