“Wonderful wine tasting with dinner”
Reviewed 29 October 2013

Our hotel the Water Lily aset up the tour for us. We met a group of German Air Force Officers and had a wonderful time touring the winery. The grapes had already been harvested but the wines were superb. My favorite was the Shiraz. Then to the sumptous feast of Cretan salad, feta, taztsiki, bread, lamb and chicken! There were pther ishes but I don't remember the names:)
The son of the owner was very knowledgable and explained the [rocess quite well in bothGerman and English! A wonderful tour and highly recommended.

“Cretan hospitality”
Reviewed 21 October 2013

Last July we visited Dourakis Winery in Alikampos, province of Chania, Crete. The manager guided us through all of the installations and gave us a very intresting explanation of the wine making process. At the end of the guided tour we were regaled with the tasting of his splendid wines accompanied with lots of very tasteful small dishes. And all that on a Sunday morning and for free! A perfect example of the proverbial Cretan hospitalty. Returning home to Belgium we coincidently met Mr; Dourakis on the Iraklion airport and hat a small chat with this gentleman, on his way to Lesbos for a wedding-party.
Don't miss Dourakis Winery when you are in the neighbourhood!

“execellent!”
Reviewed 15 October 2013

It was our first winery experience and was great.
We order the winery tour few weeks before.
Our Guide was the owner's son - very friendly and very nice guy. He showed us whole Winery, the basement with hundreds bottles of wines and in the end was the lunch time with wines testing, which we booked. He showed us how to test the wines and answer every question.
They've got very good wines. We've spent 2 hours and have a wonderful time.
You HAVE TO go there. Highly recommend!
Many thanks for very professional experience.

“Wine tasting in Crete”
Reviewed 10 October 2013

This was our first visit to Dourakis Winery, but it certainly won't be our last. We will definitely bring friends again next year.

It was a pleasure to meet Adonis and his enthusiasm for his wine and the business in general was infectious.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meze lunch and tasting some excellent wines in a very relaxed atmosphere. We look forward to returning next year.

“What a gem!!!”
Reviewed 29 September 2013

A precious and intimate introduction to Cretan viniculture, everything about our tasting experience for these award-winning wines was first rate! From our tour with the extremely knowledgeable Adonis, who painted for us a vivid picture of how their wines are lovingly nurtured and developed, to our tasting of the sophisticated flavours in an incredible setting that are the fruits of their labours, we look forward to sharing the 3 bottles we purchased back home with our friends and family, so that we can proudly introduce them to something so special. A feast for the senses in every way!
