A very modern Hotel set within beautiful romantic surroundings. We booked as a treat for one night's stay to celebrate our First Wedding Anniversary and was most impressed with the initial appearance including the large carpark (We arrived on 2 motorcycles).
We received a very warm welcome upon arrival then were shown to our room which was light and spacious with an equally impressive bathroom, plenty of wardrobe space and beautiful views from our ground floor window. On the dressing table was an Anniversary card from the owners and their family, which we highly appeciated.
The staff were professional and friendly and it was a nice touch when the waiter congratulated us then presented us with a glass of celebratory champagne prior to our evening meal.
The Red Lion Pub and Bistro food was delicious and very nicely presented as well as being served in a timely fashion. Both the Evening Meal and the Beakfast were reasonably priced (although our breakfast was inclusive).
We highly recommend this establishment and eatery.
Moreover, we fully intend to return for our next anniversary but may well find another excuse to visit in the mean time.

Room Tip: Lower rooms have windows and first floor ones have inwardly opening french windows. Ask to overlook...

Although I havent actually stayed in the Peak Edge Hotel, I have eaten at the Red Lion pub and restaurant that is attached to the hotel recently and felt that it deserved a review.

I live in Derbyshire (just down the hill from the hotel) and I have seen the Red Lion pub pass from owner to owner over the years. I have seen numerous attempts to try and renovate this dingy restaurant/pub, which have all tried and failed. Well however has overtaken the management of this place recently, has certainly done a fantastic job, because we now finally have a decent place to eat in Derbyshire. Somewhere that is not over priced, where the food is fresh and the menu is refreshing as well. Everything mingles into one, the style, the produce, the price and the service, all make this an authentic enjoyable experience. The feel of the place is just fantastic and I look forward on going to eat here, whether it be for a light lunch, or an evening meal, I have not been disappointed so far. I recommend this restaurant to anyone, you will truly enjoy the experience.

The hotel is nicely decorated with quality fixtures. The staff and brilliant and care about your stay.
We had a fantastic family room and it was a perfect base for our visit to Chatsworth house.
We dined in the Red Lion attached to the hotel and the food and service there was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay here and would 100% recommend to others.

The first thing you notice is the lovely location, ideally suited to explore the Peak District but away from the ' maddening crowd'. Everything is immaculate inside and out, the grounds are well kept, the welcome genuine and the rooms are something else! Our room was on the first floor with great views from the french doors, the interior decor modern but not harsh and the bathroom could have been out of a design magazine. Following a good nights sleep we were treated to a wonderful breakfast, freshly cooked and served with a smile - all the staff were very helpful and friendly throughout our stay and the service second to none.
The highlight of our stay was however the evening meal, three courses chosen from an extensive menu, beautifuly cooked and presented, accompanied by an excellent selection of wines. Unfortunately our four night stay came to an end all too quickly and we had to come down to earth!! We would definately recommend this hotel without reservation and look forward to our next visit.
The negatives? Just one, we should have stayed longer!

Room Tip: Go for a first floor room overlooking the 'lake', great views very quiet.

This was arranged for a wedding proposal, before I even arrived I called ahead to check some details, and the staff couldn't be more helpful in accommodating our needs. The location is gorgeous, the rooms were spotless and modern, the views were fantastic, and the food in the adjoining bar/bistro was delicious. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, which overall made it the perfect weekend to get engaged. Thanks!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Heath Luxury Suite
