Best menu range of all places on bruny. Great friendly service. Best wine we have had in Tassie, and reasonably priced at $30-$40 per bottle. Meals were delicious and local, most from the island itself. The chef came and delivered the food to the table. That's personal service. Because it is a small place and things are cooked fresh it is not quick, but lovely surrounds and wine while you wait so I didn't mind one bit. meals $18 to $28. Has 2 nice vego options too.

On a hot day in March ( can you believe 30 degrees here) we enjoyed some wine and a good quality meal. We arrived about 2 pm and had to wait a little for a table. The kitchen was a little overwhelmed with the crowd and struggled to feed the masses in a timely manner. However, I didn't hear people complaining as they were doing their best on a difficult day. Anyway, the extra time meant more time trying the excellent wines they make here. I particularly enjoyed the 2012 Reserve Pinot noir. The menu offers light meals as well as full on main courses. My wife enjoyed her seafood chowder. I enjoyed the hamburger, with meat from the farm next door. Overall, a Bruny Island necessary experience.

After our Island cruise, we kept exploring the rest of the Island
Captain Cook Landing Place was disappointing (near adventure bay)
Drive down to Cape Bruny Lighthouse was a mixture of bitumen and dirt was fairly smooth and an easy drive. The scenery & slight walk up to the lighthouse was fantastic. Take your own lunch & eat it on the hillside overlooking the bay. On our way back to the ferry we stopped at Bruny Island Premium Wines, where the cool climates Sav Blanc are very good. This is the most southern winery in tasmania

Tucked away in Lunawanna is a delightful, family run winery and casual restaurant. The great experience starts with delightful staff and a warm welcome. the wine itself is very pleasant and reasonably priced. But the food is excellent serving good quantities of exquisite cuisine that is hard to find elsewhere. The fresh "Get Shucked" oysters were farmed up the road that day and their flavour plus plumpness were delivered at a modest price. Followed by grilled Wallaby for Him and delectable pork sausages for Her. No room for desert but plenty of good memories
