On a girls weekend to Waiheke we bought a Groupon voucher for lunch here. $99 for a 3course lunch, for 4.. Overall a great experience. The soups, pumpkin or tomato were very tasty and could have been a bit hotter. 2 of us had the burgers, which were huge and were unable to finish. One had the pizza, which was fine and I had the cheese and fruit platter which was delish and was unable to finish. The profiterole dessert was quite ordinary but the tiramisu was great. Overall a very friendly place with great staff and had the complimentary orange brandy to finish, which was a lovely touch. We bought 3 bottles of wine as a gift and had their rose bubbly with our lunc, which was very nice.. Well worth it with our voucher, but without a voucher thought it would be a bit expensive at $29 for a main., although the cheese platter easily could have served 2 if you had the soup as a starter. Lovely to go a previously unheard of boutique winery. Great for a girls lunch, there were 2 other girls weekend parties there when we were which was lovely. .

This is a lovely small winery. 5 of us went - 4 on Groupon vouchers for a 3 course lunch. The entree soups were very nice.. the main however was very disappointing. 4 of us had mussels which were almost rubbery as they were very overcooked. We did point this out to the host and she said they had been serving kilos of mussels and we were the first to complain. But the fact was that there was no question they were overcooked. If I was to pay the full price of the plate of mussels ($29) I would not have been happy at all. A couple of us could not have the deserts that we wanted as they ran out. The deserts were nice.... The pear was very tasty. The hosts and the staff were very friendly. The man of the house is definitely in the right industry... he is very jovial with a great sense of humour. After our meals our host gave us a complimentary glass of their own orange brandy - it was brilliant! So much so that I purchased a bottle. Their wines are also very good... the merlot and chardonnay were terrific and their collie Sky was gorgeous. We had a great afternoon, it was just the seriously overcooked mussels that was disappointing.

Went here as part of a wine tour and wished I could have stayed all day! We were given a set of food and wine pairings that were so good that our tour group convinced our guide to let us stay for lunch.

The food was fantastic, the scenery was beautiful, and the people were kind, interesting and well voiced in wine and food pairings. Even the dog (Sky) was a warm addition to this wine and food lovers' paradise. The wine was great and it was clear that the Connie and Rob were both professionals in the kitchen AND behind the bar!!

This was my second visit to Peacock Sky Winery but this time I had the pleasure of having lunch in addition to the wine tastings.

This time Rob conducted the tastings and he was every bit as good as Connie but in a quite different style. The pairing of small food items with each wine was excellent.

I had the Mexican selection for lunch and it was extremely well cooked and presented. This was all washed down with a glass of their award winning 2011 Merlot.

I have now visited 7 wineries on Waiheke Island and Peacock Sky is by far my favourite.

If you can only get to one winery make it Peacock Sky :-)
