Just back from a golf weekend at this resort...Excellent in every way.Accommodation was in chalet
Type Villa with superb views over the Golf Course...Buffet style breakfast was brilliant and evening
Meals although not fancy, were more than adequate....Staff could not have been more helpful, and
more than made up for the mixed weather!,
Thanks again Drumoig, and in the words of Arnie...We'll be back...........

Room Tip: Try the upstair rooms in the main building,as the have great views from the balcony

This past March, we decided to take "the big trip" to the UK, so that my husband could visit and play, The Old Course, at St Andrews, and you know,...sightsee and GOLF, everywhere else!
It was the coldest March on record in the UK for the last 50 YEARS! Every day we saw snow and sleet, the entire three weeks we were north of London! Lucky for us, TripAdvisor reviews landed us at the Drumoig.
It's about a 15 minute drive to St Andrews from the hotel, but there's also a good course(so my husband says) on the premises, if you don't want to make the drive.
We stayed in the main building, and we completely satified. The staff were the friendliest we met on our travels, and the room was spacious and warm!
Only ate one meal in, and it was very good!
While every thing about the place was more than satisfactory, the standout for us was the people, who bore our surely often repeated questions, with patience and gave lots of interesting and helpful answers.
Scotland remains our favorite area of GB to visit, and I'm sure we'll be back to Drumoig!

Room Tip: I think there are three rooms in the main building that face the course, and it's a peaceful vie...

Just got in after a very long trip. Really welcoming male receptionist. Got checked in fast. Rooms were nice and clean. The golf course looks really great. Out for a gane tomorrow. For an affordable great golf weekend, Drumoig is perfect. For a much more costly one, St Andrews is close by. So it's just a matter of choice and pocket size really! It definitely did the job for my golf weekend needs.

Stayed here for the 5th time and you can't stop loving Drumoig. The layout of the course is excellent. Really is a great Track to play.

Accommodation is excellent for the price you pay. Breakfast is something to look forward too before your round of golf! There is no-where in St. Andrews that can compete with this package. Worth staying in Drumoig then driving 10 mins into St Andrews. And if you stay in one of the lodge rooms that over looks the course you will be pleasantly surprised in the morning. Great view.

Room Tip: ask for a room overlooking the course.

Stayed here at short notice for a visit to St Andrews which is about a 10/15 minute drive away. Paid £59 for double room for 2 with breakfast through third party booking site.

Very pleasant welcome at reception and, indeed, we found all of the staff very helpful and courteous. We were initially allocated a room in the main hotel building, but, then told we were being given a room in a lodge instead because it would be quieter for us.

The room was a disappointment. Very basic budget accommodation but looked tired. It was reasonably clean although some things detracted from the overall look e.g. dirty tile grout round shower area, dirty patches on the cloth part of the bed's headboard, the dressing table top was warped (probably with water ingress for overflowing kettles), the wooden window frames were overdue painting with the result that there was water staining, which looked v dirty, on them too. The white sheets looked as if they had been freshly laundered but there was a few small brown drop stains, (maybe coffee?) which hadn't came out.

Maybe we were unlucky with the room, maybe if we had been in the main accommodation block it it would have been better? I don't know. The price we paid was low so shouldn't expect too much but we didn't really enjoy being in the room.

Breakfast was fine with the staff being the real asset here. We arrived towards the end of breakfast so there was not a lot left in the trays but they offered to cook more. The only eggs they had out were scrambled which we don't eat so we asked for poached and it was done, no problem, and with a smile.

We didn't get to play golf this time because it was fully booked on morning of our departure. The course looked good though and reasonably priced to play and to hire a buggy. Would like to return and play golf but, regretfully, I think I'd look for somewhere else to stay.

Hotel is really nice. Room furnishings a bit tired and bed a bit lumpy. Food was very nice, pub grub only as awaiting a second chef. The staff are excellent, very friendly and helpful. One of the best breakfasts we have had in a hotel, it was piping hot and produce is top notch. The view from our room was first class, it overlooked part of the golf course. Very peaceful.

Room Tip: Room 10 has a lovely view overlooking part of the golf course.

Stayed here on a last minute break. Hubby booked on the Friday for us arriving on the Saturday. The hotel is 3 miles outside Leuchars and is set in the most wonderful countryside.

The hotel allows dogs to stay for £5 per night which is fantastic. The staff are all welcoming and friendly.

We arrived at about 1pm and were allowed into out room. It was very clean and well laid out, with a well stocked tea tray.

The staff were able to make recommendations for dinner in the local area.

The en-suite is a perfect size with a really powerful shower.

Breakfast - well, it was simply fabulous. Copious supply of cereals, toast cooked to order, as well as a pick your own Scottish Breakfast (if I had one tiny criticism, it would be that there is no haggis pudding on offer) and plenty of tea, coffee and fruit juices.

This was a real find and a bargain stay - 2 adults and 2 dogs for £59

We all hope to be back in future
