We stayed at Cape Panorama Lodge for 3 nights during July. With no reservation when we landed at CT airport, we phoned the lodge closest to the Medi Clinic Panorama Hospital. The friendly lady assured us that we need not worry, she will keep a room for us. Upon our arrival, we sorted out the admin and we were shown a room. We were really surprised at the minimal amount we paid per room. The room was really neat and tidy and had everything we needed for our short stay. Nice Kelim rugs makes out part of the decor in the rooms. All rooms are fitted with showers. The lodge is situated right next to the hospital, and a pathway connects the lodge with the hospital, which is really convenient when you are specifically visiting the hospital. Rooms are fitted with a small bar fridge, an aircon/ heater, nice comfy white linen. Breakfast is available at a affordable rate. Bar facilities are also available till 10pm.

Really good value for money.. Where else can you stay in Capetown for under R600 per room per night?

Thanks guys, Keep up the good work.

Room Tip: If you prefer a selfcatering room, be sure to book an outside room. The inside room are not self cat...

We arrived in pouring rain, late in the afternoon. After some mix up with our booking we were given the keys to our room and we got somewhat wet taking our luggage from the car to the room.
Our room was clean and comfortable but showed signs of wear, the one wall mounted bed light was being held on by one screw and in the bathroom there was a couple of holes in the wall that used to hold goodness knows what.
Breakfast the next morning was reasonable and the staff were friendly. Our stay of two nights just long enough.

As though we only stayed 1 night it really wasn't pleasant... Firstly the receptionist had no people skills... She doesn't put a smile on her face and wouldn't go out of her way for you... Breakfast..... Wow so cold no atmosphere. Tables weren't set. Waited forever for someone to serve us nobody around... As for receptionist she was no help at all.... I had to pay R65 for piece of toast...
R595 for room R65 for breakfast.... And a additional cost to use Wi Fi... I travel alot and have never had that before..
So not cheap...
Not a cosy atmosphere there at all........

Room Tip: Rooms are all very noisy due to being on Highway....

Although there is a DSTV box and a reasonable TV, only a few channels are operable which is ridiculous. The Receptionist was not able to help at all and didn't know how to get in touch with the owner. Apart from that, the accommodation was good and clean and its the perfect location for someone who needs to get to the airport quickly and cannot spend a fortune on one of the big hotels. Its safe and the surrounding environment is pleasant.

Room Tip: Ask for a room close to reception.

Although the rooms are fairly comfortable, it is spoilt by the fact that the bathrooms were very badly designed. The shower in the bath is terrible and leaves the whole bathroom floor wet after a shower. Serious consideration should be given to redesign the bathrooms to fit in a seperate shower.(there is plenty of space to do it) Only two small towels of poor quality is provided.
