“Simply the best.”
Reviewed 10 August 2014

My husband and I arrived at Le Parc du Château having booked a two-night stay during our visit to the Champagne region. The place was so fantastic, our room so inviting, and our host so kind, affable and hospitable, that we immediately requested a third night. The rooms are large and very well appointed, and the décor is quite stylish and in very good taste. The hotel is tucked away from the road and strikes a modern chord amidst the historic buildings of the surrounding area. Each room has a terrace on the edge of a woodland park, with ultra-comfortable sofas and chairs from which to soak in the natural beauty. No detail has been overlooked in the common area: music CDs, fiction and non-fiction books, an honour bar filled with Champagne and other fine beverages, and comfortable seating make it an ideal place to relax or chat with new friends. The breakfast is ample and absolutely superb, and the emphasis is on quality and freshness. I have never had more perfect eggs. But most outstanding of all is the host, Thierry. From our first email exchange he struck me as a warm, gracious, and intelligent man; and so he proved to be. My husband and I would like to thank him and his lovely Christine for their many kindnesses, and for the happy hours spent in their company. We shall look forward to reconnecting as soon as we are able to return to France. I recommend Le Parc du Château without reservation, and would return without hesitation.

We stayed for 1 night in July on the way down from Calais and wish we could have stayed longer.
Le parc du chateau is exceptionally clean, very stylish and in the perfect location. Each room has it's own terrace looking out onto a wooded garden area which was a nice bonus.
Breakfast was good and the hosts were friendly.

Hermonville itself is a lovely, sleepy French town. Visit the military cemetery if you can: 5 mins away and extremely beautiful surrounded by vineyards.
Will definitely return to this b &b

We stayed here for one night on way home from the South of France. Lovely modern property with 5 bedrooms set on the edge if woods in a gorgeous village called Hermonville. The couple who own the b&b are super. Warm, friendly and helpful. They suggested we ate in Piccolo Pizza just 5 minutes walk away. Tiny place but great pizzas!
The bedrooms are modern and very clean with a really comfortable bed! The bathroom had a walk in shower with a large drench shower head and a handheld shower too.
Breakfast was in the modern communal living room which has large modern sofas, flat screen tv on the wall and books etc. great choice of bread, pastries, yoghurts, ham cheese and eggs cooked how you want.
They also have a fridge with champagne and beer in which you pay for as you leave.
A really lovely place run by a fab couple. I'd love to return and will recommend it to anyone.

We stayed here for one night on our way home from Antibes. Hermonville is a beautiful village and Thierry and Christine's property is tucked away next to woodland. It's a fantastic modern building with five rooms alongside it. They each have a private outside space with comfortable rattan furniture to relax on. The rooms are simple and modern with a fantastically comfortable bed and an amazing walk in shower in the bathroom. There is a communal sitting room where you can relax and watch tv and a long communal table where breakfast is served in the morning. Breakfast was delicious with a lovely choice of bread, pastries, yoghurts, meats, cheeses and eggs cooked any way you liked. When we arrived we were directed to a lovely little pizza place in the village. Small but good pizzas! In our return we got a bottle of champagne from the fridge in the communal sitting room and drank it whilst sitting out on our terrace. Christine arrived not long after with a bottle cooler....a really lovely touch.
A fab place that I would love to return to and which I would highly recommend. Thank you Thierry and Christine!

Staying for three nights, this was the perfect getaway.

The room (nr 1) was clean and stylish and very comfortable, overlooking the forest. Thierry, our host, was great, gave lots of good advice on restaurants and sights. And directed us to some great local champagne producers.

The breakfast was great with fresh produce from the region.

Would definitely recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone who is visiting Reims (20 minutes drive) and the Champagne Region.

Travelling back from there south of France we wanted somewhere quiet for the last night in France. What we got was an extremely stylish Gite, very comfortable rooms in a lovely setting, to the point that we did discuss staying another night. The lack of TV in the room was to me an absolute benefit, when I am home and working I live with the news cycle constantly, to not have it and for Sue and I to be able to simple talk to each other is amazingly restful, the WIFI was excellent so I was not completely cut off.

The room was clean and very modern as is the building, the bathroom very efficient and stylish, there were adequate amenities, people can simple walk to the lounge for coffee and tea, its all of 10 meters maximum.

Breakfast was excellent more than adequate.

Reading some of the comments before electing this Gite I wonder if some people don't understand what a Gite is, Bead and Breakfast with a style and panache that is rarely seen.

Room Tip: Head for Piccollo Pizza for dinner, its 5 minutes walk, opens at 19:00 and is sensational.

We stayed over here on our way home from skiing in Haut Savoie and after a long drive, what a comfortable immaculate place... Nothing was too much trouble and the modern accommodation would rate four star luxury... To top it all off and make our stay complete, we were directed to a lovely restaurant in the centre of the village where we had a great evening. Full marks, Stunning..!!
