Here on business in the area

Great room with outside space provided
Room service food good first night a
Though burger was a bit overcooked
Second night had two starters and pate was excellent
Reasonably priced
Breakfast could do with a more interesting black pudding but pretty substantial
The scrambled eggs and salmon on morning two were bang on

The burgers loose the excellent rating but would go back on. Business or at own expense
Vvg!!

Stayed here for one night and enjoyed dinner here.
Room was really big with a great comfy bed. Tea/coffee/hot choc sachets provided, toiletries in the bathroom etc.
Meal was lovely- we enjoyed 3 courses that were cooked perfectly and served without any wait
Breakfast was really good, with a selection of cereals and pastries, juices and tea and coffee provided. Choose exactly what you want from bacon sausage mushroom egg etc.
Great location with access to conway, great beer garden, and brilliant staff.
Would definitely return

We booked a table, but our food eventually arrived after a long, really long wait. The staff are trying and yet seem a bit phased by the prospect of customers. However the food is the let down, lamb which was stringy and dry, less than average burger and chips - how difficult is it to cook a decent burger ? - and fish and chips worthy of a poor chippy ! Prices are on the high side for such basic fare I feel. What a shame as the place is in a great position with lovely views of the hills.

It's difficult to say anything else other than it was ok.
Food ok, service ok, atmosphere and aesthetically ok.
Disappointed truth be told. First time @ the Groes. Considering recent investment would have expected something special.
Could not see myself returning. As a previous reviewer mention there is a more inspiring venue in Conwy to have a meal.

Visited with friends for lunch. Quite busy. The staff were very attentive and very helpful. The starters, main meals and sweet was served for us all to eat together. The food, meat, fish and vegetarian dishes were superb. Looking forward to visiting for evening meal.
