We went on a last minute visit to Legoland Discovery Centre but arrived to find the morning sessions fully booked. We decided to buy a combination ticket for SeaLife (£20 supplement for a family of four) and spent an hour and a half at the aquarium before moving onto Legoland in the afternoon for our allotted three-and-a-half hour time slot.

There was a 10 minute queue to get in , despite having pre-booked with the walk-up lane largely empty. I’m not sure the separate entry lanes policy benefits those already booked as it seems to be a far longer wait to gain entry.

My wife and daughter are autistic, and the front desk staff were happy to issue them with “invisible disability” lanyards to alert staff that they may need extra assistance and understanding at times. Ear defenders are also offered free of charge, but I wasn’t aware of this until viewing the website at a later time.

There was then a further 20 minute wait for the Kingdom Quest ride before entering the main area.

We then went to the 4D Cinema for an enjoyable screening of a 15 minute Lego movie in 3D with added wind and water effects.

My children decided to go on one of the handful of rides whilst I queued for the next Creative Workshop session. When the session started 25 minutes later they were still queuing and had to leave the line to join the Lego Building workshop. They made small spaceships complete with guns with an actual firing mechanism! We purchased their models at £4 each.

A special mention for Faith, who was friendly and helpful during the workshop and spent time afterwards to talk and play with my kids. All the staff were great, but Faith stood out amongst an already strong team.

I grabbed a coffee whilst the rest of the family played with the many Lego pieces dotted around and then went on the Merlin’s Apprentice ride. The queue for this took about 10 minutes, a much more acceptable delay given the limit time allowed in the attraction.

More queuing for the Forest Pursuit ride which took us to the enforced exit time of 17:00. We then returned to Sea Life for an hour until they closed at 18:00.

Overall an OK day out at a fun kids attraction, spoilt by queuing times of 1.5 hours during an overall 3.5 hour time slot. I would come again, but not when there are restrictions on the length of time you can stay.

Hi StoopidBobo,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review following your recent visit, I am sorry to read that you were disappointed following this.

Half term's are our peak periods and result in higher than usual visitor numbers, which does have an impact on our queue times, I can only apologise that this has impacted on your visit. I am pleased to read that your children enjoyed their time with us and will be sure to pass on your feedback to Faith.

We look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Kind regards,
Sarah - Operations Manager

We purchased a set of 2019 passes for Legoland and SeaLife back in May and for Home Educators as such as ourselves they are fantastic value.

We've had numerous visits over the past few months and this is the first time we've been when it was busy during school hols. I am particularly impressed by staff member Faith today. She easily and quickly built report with our 5 year old daughter into joining in a model building competition. As we were building I witnessed Faith dealing with a child who had become separated from his parents. A situation she dealt with professionalism and poise. Very impressed. Highly recommend a visit.

I went to the Lego discovery centre with my 3 children aged 11,10 and 6. All of them really enjoyed it and had loads of fun, even though it was busy because of the school holidays. We chose to avoid the crowded areas and it seemed to work well. We stayed for over 3 hours but easily could have stayed longer.

They also each had a go on the VR experience, which was an extra cost but they really loved it, so it was worth it!

The 4d cinema was great too, I really enjoyed that.

My only gripe was my eldest is autistic and he was half a centimetre too tall for the police car ride. Without his shoes he was quite under, but the staff member was insistent nothing could be done. I appreciate rules are rules, and his meltdown didn’t last long, but it could have been handled better. However, the ride access pass system was a godsend, he doesn’t queue well and it really helped him.

A really good day out.

Hi BigD_stan4,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review following your recent visit to, I am pleased to read that your children enjoyed their visit with us.

I can only apologise that you felt the measuring on our Forest Pursuit ride was not handled appropriately. Unfortunately our height restrictions cannot be deviated from, and as shoes must be worn on the rides we do require that heights are measured whilst wearing shoes. Our height restrictions are to ensure that our guests are safely and suitably contained within each ride.

We do hope to see you again soon.

Kind regards,
Sarah - Operations Manager

Visited with my young kids (7 and 9). We had a fantastic time. Pretty busy but loads to do. If you like your lego then this is a great place to visit! One major benefit is allowing your own food which I'm sure you'll agree saves a few quid. Recommend the cinema experience... But you do get a little damp!!
