“Authentic south indian food”
Reviewed 18 March 2014

Visited last week and really the food - the vegetarian buffet was delicious and there was plenty of choice available. One of our party had the masala dosa and it was tasty and filling though inexpensive. There was even barfi available - yum.
A good place to go for delicious, tasty food without breaking the bank.

“Value Vegetarian”
Reviewed 11 March 2014

This is a good choice of veg option and menu is South Indian and a popular thali should be tried. Food is served in traditional stainless steel trays/plates like it is in India and also water in the steel mugs. Here you can have your after dinner indian sweets and round off with traditional chai and last of all the paan(betel leaf).
We tried a few varieties consisting of mogo chips, masala dosa, vadde, and a thali.

“Excellent South Indian food”
Reviewed 11 March 2014

We are regulars in this restaurant. Food is authentic south Indian and excellent, though slightly on the hotter side. If you are used to westernised 'English curry', probably you would not like it.I find a good sign of an authentic ethnic restaurant is there are more customers from that ethnic origin than natives. At any one time there are 80% of customers who are Indian.

The prices of the food is very cheap. The most expensive item in my bill was the price of drinks, which was not any more compared to other eating places.

“Good but not the best”
Reviewed 7 March 2014

After reading all the reviews on here I was really looking forward to a meal that was a bit different. Having previously visited The Tiffin Room in Cheadle, I did know what to expect. Unfortunately, this restaurant didn't live upto the standards set by The Tiffin Room.
The service was poor, no drinks until we'd been sat for 30 minutes. The menu was extremely extensive but wasn't explained.
The food was nice however, very very salty.
On the positive side, the drinks were cheap!
If you're going to try the buffet, remember it's only on at weekend.

“Excellent South Indian food in Manchester”
Reviewed 20 February 2014

We've been here several times, and it has never disappointed us. Very simple ambience, and good food. The dosas are close to what you get back in India. We also ordered the idli vada combo and rasam; the idlis were good, vada was ok (wasn't as crisp and fresh) and rasam was very good as well. Always go back home satisfied. Worth a visit!
