A bit out of the way but what a lovely spot. The hotel has excellent facilities for a 4 Star hotel and is sited adjacent to a lovely walled Marina. Universally smiling and helpful staff and a decent food and drink range. I was there on business so did not get to use the extensive pool, mini golf, water sport etc facilities but they all looked really good. I will go back for pleasure and hopefully get ro experience these bits as well. It was, for business purposes, really good and looked equally good for family of couples relaxation purposes.

Room Tip: Sea view rooms are the best by far.

Spent a night mid week and really enjoyed the break. The service and food were reasonable, but service needs more polish. But the highlight was the spa which has only been open a few months. Very reasonably priced and excellent quality. Will definitely return.

It's a nice enough hotel, reasonable rooms, good F&B... but the service needs polishing. You never feel relaxed or .... welcomed... Which is a shame, especially for a resort!
There seems to be an abundance of screaming kids. How about a separate pool for the noisy monsters...?

Went with some friends, took the 2br apt! Very impressive!

The food is good, service was good, staff were friendly.

I will visit the hotel more often as it is only a 3hr drive from Dubai. It's a nice escape!

The spa is amazing. The Pool could have been a bit nicer, found it to be a bit small for such a resort.

Enjoyed my experience.

I travel to Oman a lot and recently we decided to venture long the coast to try this resort. It's about one hour out of Muscat on the coast.

The hotel is modern, the rooms spacious and well equipped by four star standards. Mine was comfortable, with a small balcony with a view of the sea. The room itself was compact, with a minibar and a good selection of TV channels. A small sitting area and lots of power points added to its appeal. Nothing worse than charging your phone in the bathroom! This wasn't a problem here.

Speaking of the bathroom, there was a separate shower and bath. The tub was deep and long, water pressure excellent and even some bath foam to relax with.

While the beach is nothing special, the pool is great, with a chill out area, dining area and even a DJ on weekends. REstaurant wise we only tried the bar which had an Australian promotion - featuring kangaroo steaks, Aussie burgers with real beetroot and some Aussie beers. We felt right at home! We tried the buffet restaurant for breakfast, which had the usual array of hot and cold items.

The hotel is popular with local families as well as visiting military from the nearby port. There were also European couples on tours, apparently attracted by the excellent diving off the coast here. A range of activities are available including snorkelling, dhow trips and diving.

On the weekend we were there, it was hosting an event for 3500 people on site, but we never felt overrun but the staff were stretched.

While the hotel is four star, the spa is firmly five star. I would place it in the same realm as The Chedi in Muscat. Beautifully designed, with a huge treatment area, hammam and separate relaxation areas, it has only been open a few weeks. All the staff are European trained the the treatment costs are so cheap I had a massage, manicure, pedicure and a facial for the same price as a massage at some of the pricier places in town.

The spa is worth the trip from Muscat alone and I hope they market it this way.

Room Tip: Specify a sea view or you will be stuck with one of the carpark
