I arrived at about 9:30 pm by car when it was raining. I received a very cheerful welcome from the duty night-time receptionist. He immediately offered to move his car so I could park closer to reception as the car park is small and I had initially had to park at the restaurant next door.
My room and everything about it was exactly as I had expected:- clean, tidy, comfortable bed, efficient shower, working television, functional and, of course, as every Premier Inn, totally soulless. It served my purpose perfectly but I doubt I would have chosen it for a romantic break.
Although I left beforehand it was nice to know that checkout could be as late as midday.
Only negative is having to pay if you want more than 20 mins wifi and having no mobile signal in the bedroom although it is good when in the car park.Yes the wifi in the next door restaurant is free but not really suitable for using a laptop.
The restaurant is ok but if you have a car and the time I would suggest The Robin Hood about 2 or 3 miles down the road in Baslow is a better choice.More
