After a walk round Lathkil which was beautiful we decided to go to the Lathkil for lunch. The pub has brilliant views over Lathkil and a lovely atmosphere! The range of beers is decent and food menu was ok, although hardly any veggie options! The waiter we had was very friendly but the barman on the other hand lacked any enthusiasm or people skills. My dad is vegetarian and also has a dairy allergy (vegan) which is very common in this day and age. The barman almost seemed annoyed that he had to think about the menu and what my dad could have, he was very unprofessional. Even when ordering drinks we felt like an inconvenience. He made no attempt to make conversation. The kitchen staff were obviously more helpful as they put together a lovely vegetable curry which was suitable for my dad. The food was although a little small in portion, very delicious. If it wasn't for the food and the brilliant views I would definitely not return to the pub due to the unfriendly barman! If you can ignore him like we did though you will have a lovely time here!
