“Just what the doctor ordered. Fabulous.”
Reviewed 26 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

A wonderful, peaceful, enchanting cottage. Well equipped and comfortable. The views were stunning. Great location too. Only downside is that we were a bit chilly. The logs provided were only enough for one night and we were unable to turn up the under floor heating. Luckily we had plenty of sweaters to put on. But that won't stop us returning at a warmer time of the year. Highly recommend.

“A perfect peaceful retreat.”

As soon as we walked through the door, we felt at home. The views are amazing from the kitchen which was an excellent size and very bright. The bedroom has plenty of room with a beautiful window seat. There is so much to do in this area, plenty of walking straight from the cottage and several places to visit within half an hour drive. The Lathkil Hotel serves good food and is within walking distance of the cottage and also has excellent views.
We look forward to returning very soon.

I spent ages researching cottages online and this one just stood out from all the rest. Once we had seen Dale Cottage nothing else matched up, and the reality of the cottage is as good as the pictures!
We spent a wonderful few days exploring local walks and pubs, the river is so close and incredibly beautiful. The local pub was lovely and it was so nice not to use the car at all!
The cottage is beautifully presented, a real home from home with everything you could possibly wish for. A fantastic week in a great cottage we are going to book again!

“Absolutely fantastic cottage in a beautiful location”
Reviewed 8 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

Couldn't have asked more from Christine and the cottage itself. It's set in a lovely location and the information given by Christine gives you great options and ideas for things to do. We used their maps to pick out some local walks which we did each of the days. We went to Bakewell and ventured out and about on the other days. We stayed for 2 nights/3 days but you could easily stay longer. The log burner was fantastic and made it an all round comfortable and pleasent experience. There was snow when we visited and Christine got in touch to advise ways to get to Over Haddon avoiding the snow which was very thoughtful and great customer service. Will be looking to visit again.

Booked this cottage last minute and got an immediate response from the owner. What a beautiful cottage! Everything you could wish for and more. Nice touches such as the welcome gifts of chocolates, biscuits and prosceco! Immaculately clean and amazing views. Christine the owner was extremely helpful and as no one was checking in on the day we left she kindly let us check out later which was lovely. Would strongly recommend to anyone.
