“Fabulous Weekend Getaway!”
Reviewed 20 May 2013

The drive from Hamilton to the Cobble Beach Inn was a relaxing drive in the country, without any of the 400 series Hwy headaches. The Inn exceeded our expectations right from the point of checking in. The staff were genuinely friendly, our room luxurious and the food at the Sweetwater restaurant outstanding. My husband and I both agreed that it is the nicest Inn that we have stayed at, and are looking forward to our next visit. We would highly recommend and have to all our friends.

Sadly I have to say, I was disappointed with my stay at Cobble Beach Inn. Our room was ordinary. It was early May and the room was cold. There was cold air coming through the rather poor quality windows and they banged in the wind disturbing our sleep. We could also hear voices from another room which seemed to be coming through an air duct. The view overlooking the golf course was very pleasing.

There was neither a bar refrigarator nor a microwave in the room. This too was disappointing. There was a coffee maker under the sink in the bathroom with a couple of mugs. Is this a suitable place to store these items? I think not.

The bed was comfortable but not exceptional as expected at a resort of this caliber.

The continental breakfast was simply OK but was conventiently served in the sitting area on the second floor. Dinner in the dining room was disappointing. Quite flavourful but the atlantic salmon was rather dry.

Once turning into the resort area, signage to the Inn was non existent. One could see the Inn in the distance but we took 2 wrong turns before we got to it. Signage would be helpful especially in the dark.

Sorry to say, I am not looking forward to another stay at Cobble Beach Resort and Spa. And I would certainly question how warm and cozy the rooms would be in the winter season.

I have rated this resort as average because I do not believe I recieved good value for this high priced resort. I was looking forward to my stay there as I had previously heard positive things about it.

The Inn at Cobble Beach is very luxurious , views are fabulous, the staff is very friendly and dinner in the Sweetwater restaurant was excellent ! It would be a very scenic venue for a wedding. I would receommend this spot for a romantic getaway.

My wife and I spent a fabulous weekend at Cobble Beach in late January, enjoying excellent cuisine and relaxing accommodations. Cobble Beach opened up their golf course to the OFSC trails this year making it incredibly easy to access the local trail system from their front door. Parking for snowmobiles and trailers was plentiful and the staff went out of their way to make our stay memorable. We were even impressed with the number of trail signs for Cobble Beach out in the local area....very helpful in finding our way back to the Inn. They also had a great skating rink (with hockey nets) for the kids, snow shoeing, and cross-country skiing. This is a terrific destination for snowmobilers and we will definitely return for another sledding adventure.

Room Tip: Ask for a room or suite that looks out over the bay for a beautiful view.

What a wonderful place to celebrate 40 years of wedded bliss!
We stayed in the Honeymoon Suite which has been recently refurbished and is huge! While our Champagne chilled in the fridge, we had a couples pedicure -much to my husband's dismay! After a glass of wine, he relaxed and munched on Sun Chips which I brought from home. We then napped, read newspapers and sipped Champagne. Dinner reservation was for 7:30 and our table by the fireplace awaited us. Sandy made us wicked Martinis and we browsed the amazing menu and well chosen wine list. We shared a Caesar and yummy scallops then dined on duck confit and a perfectly done steak. This kitchen knows what it's doing!
Dessert, coffee and liquers were enjoyed in the fireplace lounge then we sashayed off to bed. During the night, a huge blizzard arrived and we awoke to a winter wonderland. We enjoyed a nice continental breakfast in the library and some couples even went out snowshoeing!
We'll definitely be back!

Room Tip: y the sutton Room -honeymoon suite -it's worth the extra cost!

We had an enjoyable one night stay here. Although we had one of the cheapest rooms, it was comfortable and well equipped, with a great view down the Sound towards Owen Sound. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, and the included continental breakfast in the library was good.

I have no idea why Tripadvisor classifies this establishment as a b&b, the Sweetwater restaurant (see separate entry) is open for launch and dinner, and is by far the best place in the area.

A five star golf and spa resort in my book with extraordinary dining, a fine wine selection, 5 star lodgings, golf course, spa, all on the shores of georgian bay. A little expensive but worth every penny! Well Done! You really must treat yourself. It would be nice if they created a cross country ski trail somewhere on the property.some docks with fishing boats would also be a geat addition just to add a few more things to do.If interested, there are beautiful homes to purchase as well. Just had lunch there and a tour of the spa by the friendly, courteous staff..I will be back to stay in one of the beautiful rooms and enjoy the spa.
