“If visiting Burgos stay here”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 October 2013

The guest house was a little hard to find due to a recently opened motor way and our SATNAV did not recognise it, I should have down loaded a google map. As we were in the area the local garage knew exactly the location. No worries!
Once there we were delighted, all the reviews were correct, it is the most charming place.
Laura's smile at breakfast will set you up for the day while she provides unlimited coffee, toast and some very nice home made cakes.
Her advise on visiting Burgos and surrounding villages was invaluable and insured a very pleasant stay.

Room Tip: The location is a small quiet village, any room will be perfect

We spent a night here, driving through Northern Spain. It's a lovely old house, and we had the choice of two rooms. It was pretty, the owner was lovely, and breakfast was good. Very peaceful, and we noticed a few families were staying here when we did. Definitely recommended!

Arrived late, a little hard to find, but owner was looking out for us. Lovely old building. Our room was in a slightly newer part, so we didn't get the full impact. Room was of a good size even for the 4 of us. Breakfast was fresh cake, coffee and cereal. Also the freshest orange juice I have ever had, I think the oranges had just been picked. Very personal touch from the owner. Would recommend. There are some new roads on the way here so be warned that your sat nav will throw an electronic wobbly.

Room Tip: Ask for one in old part of building.

Laura welcomed in her charming rustic guest house and showed us to our room for an overnight. We were on our way to Portugal and Bourgos is a great place to stop from The Netherlands. The place is located in a small village a short distance from Bourgos. Breakfast is basically some fresh cake, coffee, fresh juice and cereals. You can make your own breakfast and use the kitchen if you prefer. After our departure, Laura noticed that we forgot our medicine bag and quickly sent it via courrier to our next hotel in Portugal. This was a tremendous favor and we are grateful to her as we had some important medicine for our daughter in the bag. We felt welcome in her guest house and slept well during our short stay.

Room Tip: As parking is a nightmare in Bourgos, it is better to stay here. We had a good time in Bourgos and...

The place is totally lovely. The rooms are tastefully decorated, all have a private bathroom. There is a kitchen that guests can use. Wifi is good and available for free around the hotel. The hotel owners were very friendly (and speak English). La Morada feels like home or even better than home. Would definitely stay again and regret we only stayed there for 2 nights

Room Tip: Attic room doesn't have a window (only a very small roof window). Room 1043 and the one opposite...

Very clean and pleasant rustic atmosphere. They've done a wonderful job preserving the original walls and remodeling in an agrarian style. Although we were the only clients at the time the owners live right next door and were more than helpful. Plenty of free and safe parking on the street directly in front of the building.

Burgos is an easy 10 minute drive from La Morada.

Several large restaurants are located on the main highway about 1 kilometer from the hotel.

I understand that El Cid himself was born in the village.
