Lovely food and great people. Don't worry about eating off menu or even making up a new curry (tandoori chicken Madras is brilliant if you like your curry warm). And Mr Khan will make any curry to your requested heat so don't worry about asking for your Roghan Josh to be madras hot.

And if you order too much - don't worry, anything you leave can be packaged up for a meal at home. We do it all the time.

Highly recommended.

Good curry, super service and the beer is cold.

I have been going here for over 14 years and the food is very good.

If this restaurant was in a more central location it would be mentally busy, however the location in Wickham Market does mean that it is locals and people that often drive 10 plus miles for a curry fix.

The environment in the Bengal is unpretentious and belies the quality of the service and the food.
This is our local Indian restaurant and it certainly lives up to and surpasses the food offered by similar restaurants in the Suffolk Coastal area. Friends we have taken have been surprised by the quality and care taken over the food. The restaurant may look a little tired and the loos are a long walk (so take a compass) but the staff are always polite and welcoming. Shame more folk don't use it regularly, it would be a pity to see it disappear into the abyss.

When I first went I met the owner Mr Khan. Lovely guy and great service. I tend to go for the same dishes when visiting Indians for a meal. This could be seen as boring but it also gives a great yard stick by which to judge them by. Without grinding through the menu choices t is enough to tell you that I still choose this place when I want to have a treat. The atmosphere is lovely, a cosy old building. The cost to this is that there are stairs and awkward seating for anyone with mobility problems (as I have). It is testament to the quality of the food that I still persevere to get in and seated. Once landed I am up for a couple of hours of pleasure and relaxation, thank you Mr Khan!
