This was our second visit this year. We came to chill out for a week which wasn't helped when RyanAir cancelled our flight due to the French air traffic controllers strike. The manager told us that our flight was the only one cancelled from the UK that week, thanks RyanAir.
We arrived via Jet2 (excellent) on Saturday evening to be greeted by a hotel full of Spanish children who were there for some sort of sports/competition weekend but they had gone by Sunday afternoon. It was then quite quiet, in fact quieter than when we were there in January.
The ONLY change I didn't like concerning the food was the change in cakes at breakfast. I just loved the sponge cake we had in January, but they have more choice now. Everything else was as normal - always something there that you could eat. The staff work extremely hard and are always friendly. The pool bar has been refurbished (they were doing the roof in January) and was open whilst we were there.
Can't wait for our next holiday in October.

Room Tip: Most rooms are good. 103-108 are over the bar area so CAN be noisy.

A last minute booking left us wondering if we had made a risk for our holiday, Got taxi from airport (10 mins - 8 euro) to the hotel where was greeted by friendly reception staff, Quickly checked in & given wristbands & key to room. Room was top floor (requested) overlooking the pool & sea view (all rooms in main building have this view) Room was clean, although bathroom seemed a bit "old" (but clean) in places. Pool & surrounding area cleaned each morning & night all sun loungers in excellent condition although maybe a few more umbrellas might stop people putting towels on them early morning. Pool was cold but bearable & lovely once you took the plunge. Food was fine, I am a fussy eater and always ate snacks, lunch & dinner. Barman Sebastian a real credit to this hotel, worked hard & always polite. Simone is a asset to hotel too, always arranging activity's and providing good evenings in the bar. Funny guy. Would return & would recommend to anyone.

Room Tip: Bungalows veranda & balconys face the back of another bungalow, opt for main building, lovely sea veiws

just returned from a 2 week stay at the costa tropical , what can i say? food was above average
for hotel food. ok the puddings could do with changing a bit more often but there was always plenty to eat . i dont understand why people complain about the food being repatative when it was never repeated the same week. dont these people have the same meals at home more than once a fortnight , i have been to quite a lot of 3 star hotels and this is up there with the best of them the staff were helpful and always had a smile even though they worked nearly all day most days . simone started at about 11.00 a m and worked till about 12.00pm . it wouldnt happen over here. all in all great holiday at a great hotel

Room Tip: if you like an early night try and get a 2nd floor room from about 207

We absoultely loved this holiday me and my partner, we stayed for a week from 23/06/14 until 30th and lucky for us the pool bar opened on the day we arrived WOOHOO.
The food was ok i over indulged in everything that had meat as im a real caveman but my partner is very fussy but always had something to eat with help from the snack bar with their chips burgers and hot dogs we really couldnt go hungry at all.
We was in bungalow number 11 and thought it was great my only complaint was the lack of pressure in the shower we never used the dowstairs as we only really used it to sleep in and to get changed.
The staff are a MAJOR credit to this hotel simone is a funny little guy always on the go doing activities and keeping everyone involved and sebastian, well sebastian is a legend of a bar man we never had an empty cup while we sat at the bar he is there with a fresh drink every time, he just didnt seem to stop he was there late at night and early one morning and still smiling (but he was going on holiday for 8 days so thats probably why lol).
There was always sun beds available no matter what time of day it was even though people did feel the need to towel reserve them we never did and always found them with ease.
We got a taxi from and to the airport it proved to be a lot quicker and easier as we saw a couple who was on our plane arrive an hour after us so im guessing they was on a transfer bus id recommend a taxi.
We went to the main area (20-30 minute walk or a free bus from around the corner) a few times and did romantic walks along the beach and we ate out one night on my girlfriends birthday for a change of scenery at a place called aberdeen steak house i highly recommed going here and getting the XXL 1.1kg t-bone steak for 18 euros, i had it medium rare and it was perfect but its definately not for the food amatuers out there lol.
All in all our stay was a fantastic week away together and will definitely be going back here again and again in the future so long as it stays as it is.

My wife and I stayed in one of the bungalows. They are in need of some basic maintenance wires were exposed. The cleaning regime was limited and there was bird s..t on the balcony floor and walls.
The main hotel was clean and appeared well maintained. The pool area was clean and very spacious but there were a limited number of beds and parasols so it was back to trying to put your towel on your desired spot.
The main bar area was not realy big enough for the number of guests.
I have to say that in general the hotel was ok but the food was awful.
I am not a fussy eater and I likke to try most things. Deserts most days consisted of varying colours of slop so heavily flavoured that you could not tell what flavour they were. At one stage I tried a canned Peach which youbwould think cant be messed up. It however tasted like the chef had opened the tin sucked the juice out and put it in a bowl.
I also happen to like Garlic but I suspect that the chef has purchased all of the islands Garlic supply and was determined to use it in just a few dishes. Usualy Garlic is used to flavour food rather than just being cooked as dish on its own and then adding some food to it.
One evening mash potatoe was on the menu. It appeared however so runny that it must have been cooked for 3 weeks and the juices used as the mash.
One positive was that the reception staff were very friendly and helpful.
I also never had to que for more than a minute as the single bar man worked franticly.
The area where the hotel is situated is a little deserted and reminds me of a town where everyone has left because of disaster.
The main resort about a mile away is gery nice though.
