We had a wonderful week at Costa Tropical, the pool is fantastic with the swim up bar and loads of space, always a sunbed free whatever time of day you arrive. Stayed in B15 bungalow lovely and quiet with a great balcony, patio and a little yard for storage. It’s very typically Spanish style and wasn’t modern but cleaned 5/7 days and was a great base spent loads of time sitting on our balcony chatting and enjoying the weather. Food- breakfast is fantastic absolutely everything you could want also plenty of juices and tea, my husband didn’t like the coffee that was our only negative. Lunch is always fresh and plentiful we certainly never went hungry the salads are great and then if u want anything hot there’s always around 5 choices of pasta, rice, fish, chicken or other meat. Staff keep it immaculate and the food was always being topped up. Evening meals are similar to lunch and we always enjoyed what we had, the red wine was lovely as was the San Miguel. The bar evening was great early on and really enjoyed sitting in the last few hours of the sunshine drinking beer from a frosted glass but after our meal the bar wasn’t enjoyable as the queues where just too long the staff need some help as they work so hard but just one extra staff member would have made such a difference. Costa tropical is situated in a residential area but you can cross the wasteland and be in caleta in around 10/15 mins or take the coastal road and be there in around 20 mins. There are a few bars and restaurants around the hotel just a few mins away is the crazy goat which is good fun at nights and has a happy hour :-).Lots of trips available and we went on the Obycat for the day and was fantastic it includes jet ski, lunch, free bar and great views. Don’t book airport transfers just jump in a taxi for 12 euros. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. It’s not 5 stars but we didn’t pay 5 stars.

Taxi to the hotel from the airport is no more than 15 Euro.
Check in quick and simple the hotel is spotless, we got on of the New renovated rooms which are amazing.
We only paid 250 pp for 5 nights all inclusive so was not expecting 5 star/ service or quality although the only thing that lets this hotel down is the food not much choice or variety although for 250 can’t really complain. So most nights went into town no more that 4 Euro in a taxi and take 5 min or a 30 min walk not easy to walk to especially at night so would recommend a taxi.
Overall had a great get away with friends and would return although I would request one of the new rooms as these are 5 star.

Just got back from here, for a 3 star the accomadtion was very good, very clean, staff friendly, Lovley pools, small baby pool, lovely gardens, pool bar, maid service daily, restaurant clean bright and airy, staff very nice, only problem the food let the whole thing down, very much the same every day,not hot enough, slow at refreshing the trays, about 5 minutes walk away there are 3 good restaurants, there is a bus service into the town daily. Apart from the food we had a brilliant holiday would go again. X

Room Tip: They all over look the pool but it can be noisy on the corner were reception is because of road traffic.

Me and my friend visited for 4 nights all inclusive we had one of the new refurbished rooms it was lovely , the pool was a little cold but it was nice and refreshing as the weather was lovely and hot , some cocktails were included in the all inclusive and they were nice , the only thing that let it down was the evening meal , there wasn’t much choice and some evenings we just decided to eat out after seeing what was available, breakfast and lunch were fine, we enjoyed our stay and would return , fingers crossed the hotel decide to do something about the Evening meals as that is the only thing that lets it down

Hotel was clean. The apartments could use an upgrade and air-conditioning, but are really spacious, with great lovely balcony. On our first night my son had a bit of a accident and trod on some glass, so I spent alot of time sorting him out and clearing the blood before we could go get some drinks. When we eventually did go out everything was shut. We ended up finding a vending machine for some drinks (they don't provide any bottled water for rooms) we got told off by security and told to go to bed lol. Majority of staff are nice. The woman in the shop is rude.
Food for breakfast was good, but the rest of the meals were awful. Spent alot of extra money eating out as the food was that bad and the same most days.
The main barman was lovely, always smiling. Entertainment isn't great but the ladies doing it did their best.
As a Base this hotel is lovely, I just wouldn't recommend all inclusive. Eat out, go to shop buy some booze, have nights out also.... Job done.
You can't take room towels to pool so unless you take your own you will have to buy some for 10€ each. The free WiFi is an hour per device only, per day. To have it for a week will cost you 50€ per device.
