“Idyllic picture perfect cottage, in a lovely sleepy village”
Reviewed 3 December 2017 for a stay in December 2017

Cottage is so well equipped, cosy and comfortable. We contemplated kidnapping the Master bedroom bed it was so good!
We arrived in snow and it was magical. Lovely walks on doorstep, with a friendly welcome and good food at local pub, The Three Tuns.
Plenty to see and do nearby also, but the peace and quiet of the cottage and village are well worth staying in for!
Hopefully will return-Thankyou

“Relaxing getaway in beautiful cottage and surroundings”
Reviewed 27 November 2017 for a stay in November 2017

Just returned from Clara’s cottage and missing it already! The cottage is beautiful and the owner has thought of all aspects, from amenities, to providing in depth local information. The place is perfect if you want peace and quiet! Going to miss the whirlpool bath and the wood burning fire ❤️❤️ The kitchen had everything we needed, from a welcome package when we arrived to treats for the dog. Bedrooms are spacious, warm and master bedroom is beautifully decorated. Living room is cosy and comfortable - perfect with the fire - kindling, fire wood and fire starters were provided for us.

Local pubs are warm and welcoming, loved our little spaniel! Good quality of food in the area and reasonable prices.

Cottage is located in a really good area for access to Scarborough, Whitby, Helmsley and Pickering! We had a very busy week exploring the area. Dalby Forest is a must!

Thank you again to the amazing owner who has been wonderful, very attentive and provided everything you could wish for - hope to return soon!!

“Perfect escape/hideaway from the stressful meetings and deadlines of everyday life.”
Reviewed 11 November 2017 for a stay in November 2017

We came here as a group of friends looking for an escape from work and city living. What an idyllic and beautiful setting. Clara’s has all the modern amenities one can ask for whilst preserving the sacredness of country living.

Just had the most relaxing week at Clara’s Cottage, it is the most comfortable place to stay. We were visiting friends in Malton and it was ideally placed to see them and is close to lots of other locations, Sledmere House, Pickering etc... A beautiful cosy old cottage with everything you need for a week away.

We had a great week at Clara’s. It is a cosy but beautifully designed and harmonious environment and reflects a lot of thought and love. The kitchen is ideally set up and the house has so many nice touches. And outside the wonders of the the Wolds await.

Clara's cottage was the best break away me and my partner has had, Catherine the owner of the cottage has made this beautiful place comfortable and fully equipped for everything you need, we didn't have to bring half the stuff we did, not only is the cottage lovely but the area is great for exploring and the little village has a great pub which is fog friendly and all the people in the village were so lovely and helpful and you can get fresh eggs every morning from the neighbour across the road! I would highly recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be coming back. Also my family and friends can't wait to book this place also. 5 stars to you Catherine!!

“Scrumptious, cosy cottage. Pet friendly.”
Reviewed 6 August 2017 for a stay in July 2017

I cannot recommend this cosy, characterful cottage highly enough. As soon as you open the information folder you feel that you know the feisty previous owner, Clara.
The cottage is very well decorated and equipped. The attention to detail is wonderful; a welcome gift of local ale and tea awaits you and even the four legged visitors are welcomed with a tin of dog treats.
The kitchen has everything you could wish for including a Nespresso coffee machine which was a lovely treat.
After a day out exploring the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds it was wonderful to return to Clara's to light a real fire or enjoy a relaxing whirlpool bath.
The cottage is situated in the small village of West Lutton where you really feel you can escape from 'the Treadmill.'
