We always stop here for lunch when travelling north. Staff friendly and helpful, food is good and waiting time OK. Worth a visit. There is also an Art Gallery and shop and plants for sale in the summer. Try for a table near the window.

Stayed here for the second time and yet again it didn't disappoint. Last time we stayed in the Tudor room which was magnificent. This time we stayed in the Victorian room and was just as amazing. As always we eat dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and had a lovely meal. In fact we invited some family to eat with us for dinner and they enjoyed it just as much. Overall we had a lovely, relaxing time and found the owners to be very friendly. Keep up the good work.

Room Tip: The Victorian is amazing

Me and my husband stayed here for our first night as man and wife and wow!! We were greated by a very cheerful lady who showed us to our room. It was amazing we stayed in the gothic Victorian room and the detailing was superb. We had everything we needed fully equipped coffee station which is lovely to say. Not only that the room and bathroom were sparkling clean... Hats off the the usual forgotten cleaners. The view form the room was magnificent. Comfy bed with pillows you can get lost in very lovely. We shall recommend to all our friends and family and shall return for sure. Well done wolds village 5 stars.

We stayed here for our 55th wedding anniversary. The room we had was done in gothic style with a four poster bed which was very comfortable. All rooms are done out in different styles and we had a look at the Art Deco room which again was done in great detail. The rooms are in a separate building and you have to walk across to court yard to dine. There are umbrellas provided for the short walk if it's bad weather. Originally it was an old coach house and all the outbuildings have been thoughtfully converted to a restaurant, a shop and an art gallery as well as the accommodation building. A very nice experience which I imagine would be even nicer in the summer with Bridlington a short car ride away. Don't be put off by the entrance from the car park and allow yourself to take a good look at the detail that has gone into it all.

Room Tip: Some rooms are up two short stairs other are on the ground floor.

I stay away 2/3 nights every week of the year staying in different hotels up and down the country and this is the best hotel by far! The perfect antidote to living in London. Great rooms, great food, lovely and quiet and no one pestering you - you can't get much of signal but complementary wifi.

My wife and I were getting anxious for somewhere to stop for the night on our recent travels in England when we happened upon this gem of a place. The period room was exceptional as was the food and friendliness of the proprietors.

We stayed here in he Wolds village for a special wedding anniversary, they room we stayed in was fabulous, the themed rooms were well kept, beautifully clean and all the facilities of luxury BB, warm bath towels and luxury toiletries all you needed to take was tooth brush and toothpaste.
The restaurant was lovely well cooked, home made, local, food. Portion size was too much, but we had to indulge in the gorgeous desserts.
Staff were extremely helpful pleasant and couldn't do enough for us.
Didn't get time to view the art gallery for local artists, or have a woodland walk, but will definitely be back for afternoon tea and a walk to get rid of the calories of the cakes.
Made our silver wedding anniversary a special place to be spoilt
