I booked this cottage for a wedding weekend break with my family and dogs.

The cottage was situated close to my family in Pembrokeshire and the images and price appeared reasonable. We arrived late on Friday evening after getting married in the West Midlands and then enjoying an evening party at the Speculation Inn located in Castlemartin and found to our delight that the images didn't even begin to do the reality justice!

Anchor Cottage was fabulous and far outdid our expectations. It was clean, tastefully decorated and the furniture was comfortable especially the beds - amazing nights sleep.Plenty of room to sit around as a family and have quiet time if needed. The bathrooms were great and the bath and shower were so good in fact, I could have relaxed in the tub for hours.

The garden was also wonderful. We enjoyed an evening family BBQ and made use of the garden furniture and sat out enjoying the view over the bay and watching the sheep/lambs in the feilds.

This place was also brilliant for the teenagers, small children and the baby - we made use of the child safety equipment, travel cot, board games, books, DVD's and kids toys during
rainy times and in the evenings.

My dog was also comfortable in the kitchen/dinning area and I didn't need to worry about dog hair as it was all flooring and easy to sweep up.

The facilities in the kitchen were also excellent and I now realise I need a dishwasher! As already mentioned, we arrived late at night and hadn't purchased any essentials but luckily these were on hand (toilet roll, coffee, sugar ect) and we made use of them and replaced before we left.

I loved the large porch area too as it was great for shoes and beach stuff to be stored. There are plenty of amazing beaches to choose from in Pembrokeshire and we have seen them all but our personal favourite is Bosherston because we can walk around lakes, woodland, countryside and the beach - not many places have all these fantastic landscapes joining together it's truley breathtaking.

There are also great places to visit and lots of things the whole family can do for next to nothing. The local shop was great and offered hot food too not that I am biased as it's run by my mother:).

The local pub was also welcoming with a nice family atmosphere.

The owners of Anchor Cottage responded to any questions I had before and
after the stay.

I would definitely recommend this cottage to others and will be booking another stay
for my family very soon.

Outstanding is how I would describe my overall experience at Anchor Cottage and I only wish the pictures were truly reflective of just how fantastic it is and, the added bonus was the great cost!

We really enjoyed our stay here, my husband & I went with two other couples for my birthday treat, the bedrooms were lovely and all the beds were so comfortable with luxury bedding, the kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need, sitting and dining areas were all perfect for our needs as were the bathrooms.
Angle is a great place, we were made very welcome in both of the pubs, the locals were very friendly and we enjoyed their company, food was good and very reasonably priced. There are some lovely walks along the coast path and west Angle beach is beautiful, we even managed a swim on 27th December

“Clean,spacious,comfortable and reasonably priced”
Reviewed 20 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

I shared a 3 night break here with 3 friends,in July. We had a bedroom each. Everything is provided in the house to make guests welcome. it was clean, the beds comfortable and the village is very quiet.
There was a village shop across the road that not only provided everything one might require on a daily basis but also did hot food, each evening to take away. this must be ordered ,in advance,on the day.
In the other direction is a pub ,within staggering distance home.We ate here on two of the 3 nights. One friend, who is vegetarian, spoke to them in the early evening and they made her a special pie for when we returned later that day.
We had lunch at the cafe on the beach on the last day. Fresh crab, eaten outside in the sunshine. Lots of delicious looking home made cakes there too.
There is much to do. One beach within a 5 minute drive at West Angle..or a 20 minute walk through the village. Beautiful Freshwater Bay is only a short drive away.

“Comfortable accomodation”
Reviewed 16 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Situated in a little village about 5 minutes from a lovely beach. The house was well equipped , spacious and comfortable our toddler grandson enjoyed the nice touch of a box of trains/train track . The local shop was handy for emergencies and did fish and chips at the weekend, the cafe on the beach was well worth a visit. There is lots to do in the area and plenty of walks. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

“Delightful House at the Beach”
Reviewed 22 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

This was a truly wonderful stay in Angle, South Wales. The weather was terrific, the house was magnificent, the villagers were friendly, helpful, and charming. We did have one little problem upon arrival. The house was not marked, and the villagers were unaware of Anchor Cottage. We had more than enough help from the villagers to locate our cottage and were made very welcome, during our stay. The reason we could not find the cottage was because it was formerly known as Rose Cottage. If you have problems with locating the cottage when you arrive, please go to the village shop and ask for directions! We would definitely stay their again.

Liked best: We loved everything about Anchor Cottage and the Village.
Liked least: The noise the toilet made when you flushed it. It seemed to be on some kind of pumping system.

We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay, and have ordered new signage for the house so that future guests will be able to locate it more easily! We didn't know it was formerly known as Rose Cottage, and had tried to just pick a name not already being used in the village!

“Brilliant - Lovely accommodation and area”
Reviewed 12 March 2015 for a stay in August 2014

I visited this cottage last summer with my wife and two small children age 4 and 1 at the time, we arrived and got settled in quickly and easily. The accommodation was spacious and clean and the children deifinately enjoyed having a choice of bedrooms and beds!! The kitchen and living areas had everything that was needed for our stay and we enjoyed seeing the sheep and the view of the bay from the garden.

The beach in Angle was lovely, very clean, lots of space with a good view side to side and lots of rockpools. In the village there is a little shop that was friendly with most basics and a small play park that the children enjoyed.

Whilst we were there we visited pembroke castle, dinosaur land and the blue lagoon waterpark all of which I would thoroughly recommend if you have children. There is lots to do in the area and we found Tenby was also only a short drive away. Pembroke has lots of facilities and shops for day to day essentials.

All in all we had a really good time and would definately return.
