“Sometimes alright, sometimes not”
Reviewed 3 November 2013

Very hit and miss, the last meal we had the fish was good and the chips very average. WE had not had fish and chips from here for a while, because sometimes esp in the summer they can be awful. Sometimes the fish looks good but when you start eating it is all batter, they often cook a big batch and then leave kit in the heated cabinet for an hour before serving. We usually go to Lils chip shop in Pendeen where all of the food is freshly cooked and much better value.

“Just what was needed”
Reviewed 3 April 2013

As long as you're not expecting great excitement, this is a solid fish and chip shop, with excellent tea, mushy peas and safe, fresh fish. Good chips, not too soggy, too. All for a reasonable price, and you can sit upstairs in the unpretentious 'restaurant'. Chatty, friendly staff - all great!

But don't come expecting what you're not going to get. It's a chippie, and it hits a spot!

“Don’t do it unless you want to be humiliated.”
Reviewed 27 March 2013

MY father went In for Cod and Chips, he stood waiting along with a number of other customers for about 5 minutes, a person from behind the counter eventually asked him what he wanted and he asked for Cod and Chips, the person behind the counter replied sorry we are closed. Talk about ritual humiliation, I was shocked and appalled and with customer service like this no wonder these places go bust.

“could do better”
Reviewed 7 September 2012

Hit or miss i find, sometimes the chips are bang on and other times average, i like fresh fried chips but sometimes these are put on top of the older fried ones which then gives some cold chips and hot chips not good.
