We have just had an amazing weekend break at the Suffolk Escape, the owners have put a lot of thought into these cabins, as they are well appointed and you want for nothing.

Andrew and his team are very friendly and go out their way to make your stay as perfect as possible.

The Victoria sponge was lovely, such a nice thought, lovely with a cuppa on arrival!!

Thank you very much for your review Richard we are delighted you enjoyed your stay with us so much. I will pass on the complements about the cake to my baker (sister) and I glad it went down well!
We look forward to hopefully looking after you again one day soon.
Warm regards
Andrew and the team.

We have just returned from a short break at Suffolk Escape. All the reviews here are completely right - this place is amazing!

The cabin is large, and smells and looks new. It's sparkling clean, and the owners have thought of almost everything that you could possibly need. We were delighted to find binoculars, a pack of cards, a guidebook for Suffolk ... even a pen and two postcards ready to send including stamps! We really appreciated the numerous extra touches, which make this place a cut above.

We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet, and the luxurious surroundings. We are very jealous of the lovely large bathroom and the quality of the fixtures and fittings. The kitchen is fitted out to a very high standard with every pot, pan and utensil that you could possibly need. Even tablets for the dishwasher and washing machine are provided which we were really impressed by.

We enjoyed trying out the woodburning stove (thanks for the lesson Andrew!).

Obviously the highlight is the hot tub - wonderful!

If we visit here again, which is a distinct possibility, we would bring our own robes because the ones supplied did not fit short fat lady and tall skinny gent! Also - don't forget your slippers!!

We have just had a fabulous weekend at the Suffolk Escape. The cabins are amazing - really comfortable, beautifully designed and fully equipped. The lake location is peaceful and beautiful. Andrew and his team (including the lambs, pigs and chickens!) were all very welcoming and friendly and we enjoyed a lovely walk around the farm. We are looking forward to booking a return visit and would highly recommend anyone to visit it.

Room Tip: All the cabins are in good locations.

We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us and had a chance to relax but also get out and about on the farm. you will be pleased to know we have a new addition to the farm this week, some quail! Take a look on our website news pages or Facebook page to see some pictures. We will be lambing our main flock of ewes next month so there will be no end of lambs about the farm!
Thank you again for coming to stay.
Warm regards,
Andrew and the whole team (livestock and all)

We stayed in the Southwold cabin for a mid-week break in March and loved every minute of it! I am heavily pregnant, so we wanted a nice break just the two of us, before our new addition arrives. The Suffolk Escape was everything we could have wished for and so much more! Andrew was extremely welcoming and offered us advice on how to use everything in the cabin, places to eat, farm walks, etc. The cabins are very luxurious and they have thought of everything. The beds are huge and very comfortable, the black out blinds mean you can have nice lay ins, the kitchen has everything you could need and the extra touches make it so special i.e. tea and coffee, small cake, pastries etc. The location is perfect, the cabins are well placed around the lake to offer privacy, the farm is very quietly and lovely for nice walks. I would not hesitate to book again :)

Thank you so much for your feedback it is great to hear you had such a wonderful stay with us. I a glad you enjoyed the gentle, peaceful walks around the farm but also managed to rest up with the "bump". It is good to hear that the little things are appreciated, I experienced the use of black out curtains when travelling on business overseas and need to sleep at odd hours, looks like of use for you too! We wish you the best of luck with the bump and the other ideas and hope to see you again one day, perhaps for a recovery break with the little one!

Warm regards

Andrew and the team.

We booked a long weekend away in order to relax and get away from it all….and The Suffolk Escape log cabins provided the perfect setting for this. From the moment we arrived and stepped into the stunning cabins, we knew we were in for a treat!

The cabin was fitted out in the highest quality furniture, designed beautifully and everything required for a lazy weekend was provided. The beds were absolutely massive and extremely comfy, the ensuite bathrooms were fantastic, with a huge walk in shower as well as a very deep bath for long soaks. There was also a sound system in the bathroom, so I was glad I'd brought my iPod! It was all just perfect!

Once we had dragged ourselves out of the beds, with the sun streaming through the large doors facing the lake, the rest of the cabin was equally well fitted out. Drinking a coffee on the pontoon, overlooking the lake was a great way to wake up and gather ourselves for another lazy day!

The hot tub was secluded and screened off so you could fully relax but still enjoy the beautiful setting. Finally, once all the hard work of relaxing during the day was done, the cabin was warm and toasty in the evening thanks to underfloor heating in the kitchen and bathrooms and the lovely wood burner. It was just as good watching the flames as watching the 40" telly on the wall!

Thanks to Andrew, the owner, and his team for an amazing three nights. I can't recommend this place enough for complete R&R. We will be back!

Room Tip: We stayed in Lavenham, which benefits from the morning sun. All of the cabins are well situated to e...

Thank you such a comprehensive review, I am sure others will really appreciate the feedback on what we offer here, it certainly inspires us here! I am pleased to hear your stay did the job in helping you relax and re-energise. I think our gamble to be an "adult only" site was worth it, as it does help to create such a peaceful and tranquil spot that makes it very easy to totally unwind quickly, which I believe is important on a short break.

Have a great 2014

We both wanted a little break after a busy few months, after searching for various breaks I found this little gem. It fitted all our requirements without the long journey. The Cabins are simply amazing, they are warm, spacious and very luxurious. A lot of effort and thinking has gone behind this to ensure you have a magical stay. I loved the hot tub which was amazing under the stars with a glass of champagne and the log fire was a very welcoming when getting back into the cabin. The kitchen was well equipped, the bedrooms was very spacious and the bathroom with the huge bath was wonderful. We enjoyed the long walk around the farm popping in to see the baby lambs, and the tranquillity of the area.
I 100% recommend this place for a break from the rat race of daily life, the only down fall is we only had three nights booked. We can’t wait to go back.
Ps I ask my boyfriend would he like to return here for his 40th or go to Las Vegas, his chosen to return to the Suffolk Escape!!!

Hi and thank you for such a wonderful review. It was really our pleasure having you both to stay and thank you for the invite for a coffee out on your deck over the water, I know I am biased but that was a lovely spot to seat and relax for a few minutes...I could not believe how warm it was that morning for March! What an accolade to beat Las Vegas...well it is about as a big contrast as you can get in destinations...the peace and quiet of The Suffolk Escape and crazy Vegas!

We look forward to seeing you both again - hopefully in the summer but I do not know if we can beat that March weather!

Have a great 2014!
Warm regards
Andrew and the team.
