“The perfect weekend (or longer) escape!”
Reviewed 21 July 2014

The other reviews here are bang on - this place really is a beautiful and idillic luxury escape. There are four lodges built around a small man made lake, each with a large outside decking area with water lapping up around them.

The lodges are extremely high quality with very high spec kitchens, spa type bathrooms with huge baths and the biggest beds I have ever had the pleasure of sleeping in!

Andrew was extremely welcoming, even in the 30 odd degree heat we enjoyed on Friday and gave us a good introduction to the facilities and local area. He and his team have done a great job creating this amazing spot, but don't just take my word for it, book a lodge and have a totally chilled break!

We will be back very soon!

We have just returned from a fantastic weeks holiday and I want to go again next year. Everything was perfect and the lodge was equiped to a very high standard.
It was so relaxing sitting on the decking watching the ducks in the pond and then going for a dip in the hot tub.
Great welcome pack including a lovely cake that Andrew's sister had made and eggs that their hens had laid .
We loved it !

This was a surprise weekend away for my special birthday with our best friends and the moment we arrived it was just WOW.. Everything you could think of was there, somewhere in a drawer or cupboard. Andrew greeted us when we arrived and showed us around and how everything worked. Very high standard of accommodation and attention to detail (home made cake and fresh quails eggs to name but a few). The Hot Tub, the BBQ, the outdoor seating the ducks - just wonderful. The weather was perfect from the moment we left home and stayed for the whole weekend apart from the little thunder storm on the Saturday Morning, but that was fine as we had booked massages. They come to the cabin. Highly recommended. The whole experience was amazing and the best weekend i/we have ever had. We all left happy and relaxed and not really wanting to go home. We will certainly be back. Thank you my besties and Thank you Andrew and team.

Room Tip: We had the Aldburgh which had the sun from morning watching the sun go down.

That is very inspiring to read! I am so pleased you enjoyed the break so much and we managed to secure you such perfect weather!!! It is super to know you found everything you needed and more and the quality was what you were looking for. By not having children to stay it does mean everything inside can be done to a higher standard and it all still looks like new (not judging all children!).

Thank you again for choosing to escape with us and for your kind comments above.
Warm regards

We stayed in the Lavenham cabin between 16th to 23rd May.
Our first impression on entering the property was WOW, and it remained that way all during the stay. We feel privileged to have stayed in such wonderful accommodation that actually surpassed our expectations, which were already high from the website and other Trip Advisor reviews.
A truly unforgettable relaxing break - just what we wanted and hoped for.
Everything in the cabin is top quality, and with nice little touches all round.
We will be back next year (hoping that there is space available and that it doesn't get too popular with all these 5 star reviews!!)

Thank you so very much for your kind review, I am delighted you enjoyed it so much and we managed to live up to the expectations! Lavenham is a lovely cabin and gets wonderful views and sunshine, especially in the morning...it is without doubt the best spot on the site for a champagne breakfast out on the deck over the water! We look forward to hopefully seeing you next year.
Many thanks again for coming to escape with us and for the wonderful review!
Warm regards

We stayed here for a mid week break to celebrate my birthday. My son recommended the Lavenham cabin as he stayed here in March. I was pleased that he was able to join us on this occasion. The Lavenham gets the early morning sun, which was great for eating breakfast outside. It was the most fabulous four days. We had sunshine and showers and in fact we all got a bit sunburned! In the late afternoon it became a bit chilly so we lit the chiminea and felt lovely and toasty! We enjoyed the hot tub, we loved the lights in the hot tub and at night time it was great to star gaze whilst in the warm water, the jets made us feel totally flobberly and relaxed! We had a BBQ on my birthday, the meat was ordered from Andrew, it was delicious. We did the circular walk around the farm and Andrew's father Brian, drove us around on the farm tour. I can recommend both! Andrew was very helpful and as has already been said, Andrew and Sarah have thought of everything to make this a true luxurious escape. It is one of the best places that we have stayed, the well appointed kitchen, the beautifully comfortable beds, the fabulous walk in shower, I didn't use the bath but my son did and can fully recommend it! the comfortable sofas, the wildlife, the ducks and chicks on the lake, all just so perfect, best of all the tranquility of the place, we just didn't want to leave, and like one reviewer wrote, "can we move in?" The fact that "The Suffolk Escape" is child free makes this retreat a truly relaxing place to be. We will definitely make a return visit. Thank you so much to Andrew, Sarah and his team.

Room Tip: all the cabins are of the same high quality.

Thank you for the wonderful review you have taken the time to write, I am sure many others will find all the details you mention very useful! The child free business decision was originally a tough one but it certainly seems to have been the right one, both for the safety with the lake but also in being able to create the quiet haven we have with peace and tranquilly abound here.

Just returned from a lovely long weekend staying at the Suffolk Escape. The cabins are lovely, beautifully decorated, really well stocked kitchen, lovely wood burning stove and idyllic setting by the lake with the ducks to keep you company. Hot tub and amazing bath also a bonus.
Couldn't fault it - just wish we could have stayed for longer.
Its a great base to explore Suffolk - some lovely places to eat and visit close by, most recommended by Andrew after we had booked before our arrival.
We had a fabulous relaxing break and we will be back.
Thanks guys, hope to see you again soon.

Room Tip: We stayed in Southwold - picked it because of the red kitchen and its didn't disappoint.

The most relaxing weekend I think I've ever spent- Escape is most definitely the word. Wonderful setting and the most luxurious accommodation with amazing attention to detail. Bring enough provisions to last and you won't need to leave your cabin- not that you would really want to. Did venture out on the circular farm walk which was lovely- take a little treat for the pigs; but still wanted to hurry back to make the maximum of the Cabin's loveliness. Hot tub, bath and huge comfy bed are to die for. Only downside is that my wife loved the kitchen fittings so much she now wants a new one. If we don't spend all our cash on that we will definitely be back.
