“Girls weekend away”
Reviewed 7 November 2013

I stayed here in October with two of my friends before a spa day at the nearby Center Parks.

We were all very impressed with the room size (All stayed in a family room). The sofa bed for one of us was not very comfortable, but ok for one night. The single beds for the others were very comfortable.

We also ate downstairs which was busy due to a large family party, and there was a wait for our starters. The staff apologied without us complaining and the starters were offered to us complimentary.

The breakfast the following morning was delicious with good selection and a pleasant location within the conservatory

Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and the weekend worked out at great value for both the accommodation and the meal. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend

This hotel impresses from the off. Staff are welcoming, caring, attentive, warm and genuine. They notice the small things. It's a long time since I've been impressed by a hotel in a long time! We were so pleased with the service from our young waiter Jason he was so good.

The rooms are decorated to a very high standard. The bed was really comfortable and everything is finished off well.

Meal, wine and breakfast high standard and good value....

I really can't speak highly enough about this place.

Only negative comment is that it's close to a main road so there is some road noise with the windows open. I would not let that put you off!

We were a group of 5 and booked an overnight stay on a weekend. When booking, the staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. When we arrived the staff couldnt do enough for us. We were welcomed with a warm welcome and they already knew our name. We went out to the patio to meet our friends and had some drinks and then had an early dinner. The staff at all times were friendly, helpful, and were always happy to help with further drinks orders. The food was exceptional, the tortellini with prosciutto ham delicious!
The staff levels were good and we never had to wait around for drinks or service at any time.
The rooms are beautiful and light, airy and very spacious indeed.
The breakfast the next morning was really good also with happy friendly service from the staff and the multiple coffee requests acknowledged with a smile.

What made our stay even more special and worth such a good review was the extra mile the Owner and the staff went to for us. We were attending a concert in nearby Thetford Forest and asked if they could book us a taxi to and from the venue. A taxi to the venue wasn't a problem but finding a return taxi was. The owner then offered that he and a member of staff would come at whatever time we wanted to pick us up. They were there as promised and bought us back to the Inn. What a service.

We then had a nightcap in the bar and even a request of a late night ice cream was not a problem either.

A wonderful stay and a place we will all be returning to with other friends and family. Exceptional service levels.

Stayed here for one night on a romantic getaway. Reviewed the restaurant separately, so I won't repeat myself.

Very nice room with queen size bed, nice amenities, and yet windows that only open an inch or two (I understand the safety aspect, but really wanted a bit more breeze/ventilation).

The staff and breakfast offerings are what made the stay memorable. The whole restaurant is open and available for guest seating at breakfast, and we had (what seemed to be) our own little alcove with great views of the lawn and grounds. The food was just what we wanted, while the service was excellent.

The ability to sit and sip a cup of coffee while perusing one of the many offered newspapers is a very fine way to start the morning.

We stayed one night here & really liked the place. The food was excellent (both dinner) & breakfast, but what really made the difference was the staff. We were looked after from start to finish & wouldn't hesistate to go back. In addition, our room was very spacious, the children slept on a sofa bed in a different section of the room. The Guinness was excellent too, probably should be as it is part of the family estate, but it does live up to the family name. I am particular about where I drink the famous stout & this is pretty much as good as it gets in the U.K. If I had one criticism it would be the bar noise late it night, because we could hear it from our room, but we were so tired it we fell asleep rather quickly & it wasn't a major problem.

I stayed here recently and thought the whole experience was good, the staff were very friendly and always there to help. The room was elegantly decorated with complimentary sparkling and still mineral water in the room - as well as the normal hospitality tray. Both the evening meal and breakfast were cooked and presented to a high standard. I will be staying again...

Just back from a short break at The Elveden Inn. We were really impressed with the accommodation - very spacious, clean, comfortable, well equipped and nicely furnished. Did experience some road noise as had the window open (my fault, should have requested a fan as per the in room information) but had a good night's sleep nonetheless. They offer a very ample breakfast and we found the service to be just the right level of attentive. It's an extremely well presented place, manned by helpful staff and we would certainly return. There is a lovely little shopping area (food hall, cafe', homeware and gifts) within several minutes drive on the Elveden Estate, which I really enjoyed mooching around. Excellent butchery with great prices on free range produce - was very glad we'd taken a cool bag! Our special thanks to the nice lady who assisted with our check in/out and request for ice. She's an asset to the place for sure.
