Just returned from our 4th trip to elveden with our two children. Again we really enjoyed our holiday ,the accomadation was exellent, it has recently been refurbised to a high standard.
As much as we enjoy it we are often dissapointed with the price and quality of the food,i do not mind paying a higher price for food if the quality is reflected in the price ,but in the dase of their burger bar Dexters this is certaily not the case ,having paid over £30 for 4 burgers and drinks was not happy to be eating what felt like cardboard.
I should of complained but let it lie, next i had a leafllet offering Thursday night meal deal £7 ordered this and charged full price of £10.95 per meal ,when i complained the manager pointed to very small print "subject to availability" on the leaflet, strange thing was leaflets were available on nthe tuesday but later in the week all the leaflets had dissapeared obviously they had forgot to get them all in , iam annoyed they could not honour this.
I feel the drinks are over priced every time i went to the bar it was costing around £10 for a beer hot chocolate and two kids drinks not very family friendly, we certainly could not eat out very often, having been before we knew this and took food with us.
With all the moaning over i must add we did enjoy our holiday and will probably go back at some point but Centre Parks overpricing does spoil it a bit.

Have just returned from another great mid-week break at Elveden, third visit this year. The parc was all decorated with christmas lights and decorations as part of their winter wonderland and it looked amazing. When we arrived there was a smell in the reception area of the hotel which the staff apologised for straight away, and when we got to our room on the first floor we couldn't smell a thing...which is why we were more than impressed when we got a letter for £100 off another center parcs holiday, we had never complained and we were very impressed when we got this letter. The hotel room itself was very cosy and comfortable with great views of the lake, and we had a visiting squirrel come up to our balcony quite regularly. The staff at Elveden are great, they give service with a smile, and a fault we had with the lights in our room was resolved straight away by guest services. We didn't do many activities because we wanted a relaxing break taking in the scenery, however we did do the pottery painting which is a good priced activity and you never feel rushed it was really relaxing. On the Thurs we visited the Aqua Sana world of spa, which relaxes you and is great for some me time. All the restaraunts we ate out at gave excellent service, and the food was of high quality. It was just a shame that we weren't there longer. Looking forward to going to Longleat in January, and already now planning a return visit to Elveden...Center Parcs keeps getting better and better with each visit.

Third visit of the year to CP Elveden and probably the best so far! We visited during winter wonderland and that just added to the magic of the place, fantastic decorations and lights around the park, and a great fireworks display on the Wednesday set to music. There were various Christmas activities available including free ones such as seeing real reindeer daily! We took part in the pottery painting and had a Spa session whilst we were there and enjoyed the pool every day (which after three visits this year I fail to understand how anyone can find it cold).
Customer services were fantastic with an offer on the spa better than our pre-booked one so they simply refunded us without question.
We stayed in the hotel and yes there was an issue with a broken pipe that caused a smell to the reception and lower corridors (but no sign in our room on the first floor) and it was having everything done to solve it and then we were compensated to make up for it even without a single word of complaint. Our cleaner added a special touch folding PJ's and putting them under our pillow and our visits from up to 3 squirrels at a time on our balcony just added to the magic.

3 times to CP this year and already 1 booked and 2-3 more planned for next year!

This was our 22 nd trip to centre parcs at elveden the comfort plus villas are perfect for 4-6 people we went with our 4 young grandchildren and they loved it the swimming complex is brilliant for family's of all ages .some of the activities are a bit overpriced the trick is to take your own sports equipment and just pay for the courts.it can be expensive in the food halls it is a bit pricey don't go in the Indian restuarant their we tried it once again and it is no better than before and still overpriced .if you want a Indian meal go into Brandon about 10 minutes away to the Brandon tandoori we have been using it for about 20 years and the food is great.the grandchildren loved the winter wonderland this year ,meeting father Xmas the firework display the all Xmas experience .it is the perfect setting for kids getting close to nature ,we have just booked up again for next year

Room Tip: Don't go peak times best to go in November and march do try the executive houses they are fantas...

Just returned from a Fri-Mon break with three friends. We stayed in a two bedroom villa in the Cedar section, which was well-equipped (apart from a temperamental oven) and very comfortable. We couldn't quite get the heating to work properly so a bit cold at times but I think we were just doing it wrong!! We were situated close to the village square, Piazza, Sports Plaza, Aqua-centre and cycle hire centre. We hired bikes for the whole of our stay, which we really enjoyed.
During our stay we played badminton twice and went swimming. The booking of the badminton courts was easy but i would recommending booking up as soon as you arrive because the courts do get booked pretty quickly. Equipment hire is very cheap.
The swimming pool can get really packed and there's not really any opportunity to do 'proper' swimming. Lots of kids and people fooling around so be warned. Lazy River is good fun and there are lots of slides to enjoy. A new one opens in November and looks impressive. Also, the pool is quite cold - lots of small kids with blue lips!!
There's a lot of choice when it comes to places to eat and drink but be warned that it can work out very expensive if you're planning to eat out every lunch & dinner time. I would recommend a visit to the supermarket before you arrive and a bit of home-cooking once you're there.
The surroundings are lovely, lots of nice places to walk, cycle, there's lots of wildlife to see. The place is big enough not to feel too crowded even at busy times.
The only downfall for me was that I left an expensive item behind when we left and it was not handed in by the housekeepers, which makes me think that someone has got themselves a nice early Christmas present!! The item was large enough to see, so I'm a bit disappointed that someone has found it and not been professional enough to hand it in.........saying that, I would go back but I'd just make sure I checked everything several times before checking out as my weekend has turned out to be even more expensive as i now have to replace the item at a cost of approx £200.
On the subject of cost, these breaks are not the cheapest thing, especially if you're a couple or a family. It works out a lot cheaper if you can get several singles or couple to share an accommodation and split the cost that way.

Room Tip: Take groceries with you to save money - their shop can be a bit pricey.

Having spent many happy holidays at Center Parks we arrived this week to stay at the hotel and were shocked at the awful smell in the corridors, reception and our room. When we complained we were led to believe that this was a recent problem which would be dealt with in a matter of hours. We were dismayed and shocked when we discovered this problem has been going on for some considerable time. This being the case the hotel should have been closed and the problem sorted out before guests were allowed to return. We can only conclude that the management are more interested in profit than guests health and well being. The assistant manager knocked on our room yesterday and said that a compensation offer would be slipped under our door today, but it is 8 in the evening and no offer has been forthcoming. As we are Center Parc lovers we are bitterly disappointed and will be complaining formally when we return home.

Room Tip: Don't ask for an executive room in the hotel you pay more and the only difference is you can che...

Thank you for taking time to share your views on Trip Advisor.

I have passed your review to the Guest Services Manager at Elveden Forest and he will visit you today.

We have experienced a broken pipe in the Lakeview Hotel which has unfortunately resulted in an unpleasant smell. Work has taken place this week and we hope this will improve the aroma.

Unfortunately, such breakdowns may occur from time to time and we apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.

I genuinely hope that you are enjoying all other aspects of Elveden Forest Village.

Kind regards

Although the park was generally clean and the villa was comfortable, we were very disappointed about the prices of the activities, I thought they were ridiculous (£28 for indoor bowling, for an hour). Additionally, the food in the restaurants was of poor quality and also over-priced ie. £16 for an 8oz sirloin with only a bowl of skinny chips. It was such a long way to walk to the car that eating outside the park wasn't an option. It seemed that the staff in Cafe Rouge didn't want customers unless they wanted to have a meal and the atmosphere on the complex would have been much improved if they had bothered to have some live entertainment which would have encouraged people to stay out. I won't be going back.
