“Outstanding location, property and hostess!”
Reviewed 1 week ago for a stay in July 2018

We have just returned from a wonderful 7 nights stay at the lighthouse. The photos do not do it justice - the property is amazing with everything you could possibly need for your stay. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a dishwasher and washing machined. Vlasta met us at the lighthouse and kindly left us a beautiful cheese and meat platter and a cake that she had baked along with some beautiful Croatian drinks - a superb welcome and we loved seeing her waving from the ferry boat as we were passing.

There are four lovely double bedrooms each with windows that open on to a beautiful sea view. They all have shutters too which make the rooms very dark for sleeping and all rooms have AC which was a god-send. All rooms also have an en-suite, all of which were of excellent quality. There were two families of four staying for the week and there was plenty of room for us all. The summerhouse is also fantastic with an amazing outdoor grill which the men folk loved cooking on.

Outside the lighthouse is breathtaking and the sea is so clear and blue and very warm with your own pier. We enjoyed hours of swimming, snorkelling and justmessing about. There is so much outdoor space with loungers galore for the sun worshippers like me.

The town is a 5 minute walk where you can find lovely restaurants (Fortica was our favourite), a couple of supermarkets, bars and gift shops. We also found a great beach just round fromt the town and hired a boat from there.

When we were leaving Vlasta kindly invited us to visit her restaurant which was on the coastal route to Split Airport - Konobo Bracera in Dug Rat. The restaurant is run by Vlasta's son who was a perfect host. The setting is beautiful with a stunning view of the beach and the food was magnificent as expected. This is the perfect stop off point on the way to the airport.

All in all this was a wonderful experience and I would recommend it to anyone. Vlasta goes above and beyond to welcome her guests and the lighthouse is such a special place. This was our first visit to Croatia but definitely not the last, the people are so friendly and the food and drink very reasonably priced.

Thank you Vlasta for a wonderful stay.

We went to this lighthouse for our honeymoon. It was perfect. Beautiful, serene, private, comfortable. Everything we hoped for and more. Personal attention to all our requirements. Beautiful views, on the sea, bicycles to explore with, equipped with everything we required. A most special place. Would love to go back one day.

“Slice of heaven”
Reviewed 6 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

When I organise our family holiday it is always with some trepidation as the holiday approaches. Vlasta has been so helpful from the first enquiries I made about the lighthouse and it was so reassuring to see her waving to us as the Drvenik ferry passed the property.

I cannot adequately describe the property as the pictures do not do it justice. It really is perfect. the building itself is stunning and the four double bedrooms are of a really high standard with ensuites befitting top hotel rooms. The beds are so comfortable and the windows open out to the sea and it was magical to hear the waves in the morning.

The kitchen has every bit of equipment you would ever need and the outside kitchen is every mans dream. A bbq oven which my husband enjoyed preparing meals in. Vlasta has a garden which was full of tomatoes which guests are allowed to pick - have I mentioned the peppers, basil, parsley, courgettes and cucumbers too?

We spent so much time in the garden - tables, chairs and loungers in all areas depending on wether you needed shade or sun. The creme de la creme is the access to the sea. with the temperature in mid 30s the jetty provided a perfect launch point for many hours spent snorkelling the beautifully clear seas.

The beautiful harbour town of Sucaraj is a short 5min walk away and it really provided all we needed - several good restaurants and small shops. Our favourite was Fortica which is run by Stipe and his family and his food was delicious - try the fish stew or the fish platter - amazing!

Vlasta has also made 4 bikes available and these were a godsend to us and we went on several long bike rides around the coast - a real bonus. One evening we sat and watched a massive thunderstorm and the 360 degree vantage point allowed us to view the most magnificent lightening strikes and sheets from the mainland and other islands!

It really was the best holiday destination I have ever been to and as I type this I am smiling at the wonderful memories I have. Vlasta invited us to her restaurant Konoba Varos in Split and we ate there last night and it was the perfect end to our time in Croatia.
