I have just returned from a stay at Netherdene and was really pleased with my stay. Very friendly hosts and very helpful. We had a problem with the satnav getting there and did not arrive till after 12.30pm. The owner was most helpful on the phone and stayed up waiting for us to arrive and was not at all phased.
Breakfast is really good and well cooked and the owner managed to book us in to the hotel across the road for dinner, which by the way was also very good.

Room Tip: If you are elderly you might want to request a room on the lower floor, although I managed okay and...

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Everything was just perfect; from the rooms to breakfast to the comfort and atmosphere. The surrounding area is very picturesque and the interior is just as lovely. Everywhere was spotless and comfortable, very cozy. Steph and Dean were super hospitable and did everything they could to accommodate us and go that extra mile. Great for all B&B needs/ trips. I very highly recommend this perfect country B&B.

Just back from our second stay at Netherdene, this time we stayed a little longer for my birthday. We cannot rate this place highly enough, it has such a lovely feel to it and it's everything you would want from a well run, efficient, b&b in the Lakes. Dean and Steph have managed to maintain getting the approach spot on, we felt like part of the family and were welcomed as such. There's even an IMAX cinema up the road (NO people, there isn't... I just thought a conical gritting depot on the M6 looked a bit like one lol, such a muppet!). Breakfasts are full, hearty, delicious and if you want the works this is the b&b to go to set yourself up for a day walking in beautiful countryside. Ingredients are sourced locally, everything's fresh and cooked to order. I personally love two things: one), that our dogs are included as part of our family and two) that you're a five min drive from Aira Force. It's one of my favourite places to walk. Knocked it out the park again guys, sincere thanks for a truly wonderful stay. Btw, Arnie is gorgeous, please post some photos of him here! X

We went for a little adult chill out for two nights to netherdene.
Steph and dean are amazing hosts.. Fab breakfast...fab views..spotless comfortable room.. Very quiet..food in pub over the road is lovely.. A little on the expensive side but I don't mind paying for good food.
Steph and dean cooked us a valentines dinner which was perfect..with lovely little personal touches..they gave us loads of local information on things to do and places to go.
Everything was perfect and nothing was too much trouble..(even though we were a little dosy going for breakfast on our last morning!I'm sure dean wasn't in the slightest bit bothered!)We felt very comfortable and welcome and we were always offered a hot drink on our arrival home after being out all day.
Looking forward to our next visit with the children this time.
Hopefully the children will be able to swim in the lake.. Lovely part of the world.. Highly recommended xxxx

This was an ideal small family run B&B which ticked all the boxes for a mini winter 3 day break around the Keswick and Penrith area. Location is just 100 yards off the main road but no noise from passing traffic and ideal to get back to in the dark winter nights. Everything we expected having read the reviews on trip adviser from previous guests. Made to feel at home throughout and super dining sunroom with great views on the rear of the property. Dean and Steph are fantastic hosts.Dean helping out with places to visit and Steph doing breakfasts cooked to your likeing. Plenty of choice for breakfast. This is a great place to relax with a friendy atmosphere. Coming in from a full day out we were offered on both evenings a welcome drink. Prices are much better than a location within the Lake area but you are only a short drive away. We had upgraded for £5 per night to a larger room and this gives you a king size bed. This place is home from home. We recommend highly. We look forward to staying again when we are in the area.

Room Tip: Upgrade for that extra bit a comfort
