We bought a 4hour ticket, kept 2 fish and put 6 back. Was a good day, all the fish were of a good size and the lake wasn't too crowded with others fishing. The views were fantastic, and although not far from side of main road you can't hear the noise from lake. Guys in farm shop really welcoming and friendly, have recommended to friends and will be going back in the future.

stayed locally in a holiday cottage with my family and couldnt be at all bothered with the trek to the nearest supermarket, so upon the advice others, we decided to pay the farm shop a visit. what a result !!! the produce is of top quality and we managed to get everything we needed under one roof, with prices to suit our budget. While we were there we had a bite to eat in the cafe which we thoroughly enjoyed. We would highly recommend this shop to anyone, whether on holiday or living locally, as the produce and the service provided was second to none. A special thank you to Simon and Big John for all of their help and assistance. This place is definetely worth a visit and we shall most certainly be using it again during future visits to the area.

On the road to Keswick.. Known for the fly fishing but this small cocern hosts a lovely farm shop, well stocked, selling local produce with a small cottage type cafeteria. The food was excellent and relatively good value. The meat that i purchased from the shop was excellent value!
well worth the visit if even just for the good quality produce on offer!!

Didn't try the fly fishing!!
