“Nice Surprise”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

I don't expect much from restaurants in Mexico so was pleasantly surprised with the variety, quality and execution of the restaurant and menu. Place was packed, service was very prompt and quality of all the items was good. And did I say it was very, very reasonable.
The entertainment was very cool. An overall outstanding experience.

“Good food, great atmosphere”
Reviewed 7 May 2014

Had there both breakfast and dinner.
We did not stay at El Panchan or Margarita & Ed, but we came to this place from another hotel we stayed at, and it did not disappoint!

The pizza was awesome, so were other dishes we ordered, but the atmosphere, live shows and all the people there in the evening - is what makes it probably the most thrilling & lively place between Yucatan peninsula and San Cristobal de Las Casas.

“Pretty typical for area”
Reviewed 23 April 2014

The food in this area of Mexico is somewhat lackluster, and Don Mucho's fit right in. But we did eat here twice because at least it was cheap and lackluster. All of our meals both nights were fine, nothing wrong, just not exciting. The atmosphere was okay. The service was okay. Nothing great, nothing terrible. Good for people watching.

“Well priced food and fun music!”
Reviewed 17 April 2014 via mobile

We stayed across the street at the Kin Balam cabins, and since this is the only restaurant for many miles around we ate most all of our meals here. We tried many different things and the standouts were the veggie and cheese omelet for breakfast (perfect for a long day at Palenque) the chicken sandwhich, and the tortilla soup. The tortellini were pretty tasty but the tomato basil sauce they came in was half chopped onion which was unpleasant. We also ordered a pizza with jamon Serrano, which ended up just being very fatty chopped ham. With it being the only restaurant for a ways you would expect tourist trap prices, but we found the prices to be reasonable and in come cases quite
cheap. The live salsa and cumbia band that plays at night is great fun there is also a small dance floor. You can also get internet for 25 pesos the hour, although the connection isn't always very strong.

“Great food in an even greater atmosphere”
Reviewed 12 April 2014 via mobile

We had breakfast and dinner there, each one twice. Both are very good. The portions are huge sometimes,eg if you order pancakes for breakfast you will get two very big ones that can hardly be eaten. Both the Italian and the Mexican food are delicious. There is life music and even a fire show.
