The hotel is in line with what you can find in this region of Mexico. Chiapas is one of the most poor region in Mexico after all. The hotel has an open garden where you can find a lot of animals, parrots, monkeys, iguanas.. If you are the adventurous type, this hotel can work for you. If you are looking for comfort, you might prefer other hotels…The swimming pool is a "little foggy" and my suggestion will be to try to explore the city of Palenque to taste typical food. To reach the main square of Palenque you will need to walk a bit, but, again, it depends what is your travel style. We used to walk in the sunlight to the city center and take a cab back in the night. Is functional and is in line with the average in this side of the country.

We stayed in room 206, which faces the pool. It was quiet.
The rooms are very clean, with a nice clean bathroom although the hot shower was not as hot as I would have liked. The beds are comfortable but a little bit hard.
The staff is very helpful and nice.
The restaurant was nice and since we had breakfast included, I can tell you the continental breakfast was very nice with excellent coffee.
You can walk to the Cañada which is where there are a lot of restaurants.
The hotel in general was very clean and nice but would need a little bit of renovation.
No problem with the WiFi.

Room tip: Room 206 faces the pool and it was quiet (maybe because it was low season).

This hotel is a good option to stay in Palenque, somehow away from downtown but quiet and close to supermarket.

Rooms are of good size but everything in the room needs renovation, bed was somehow hard, same as the pillows. Blankets need renovation but where clean.

What I really praise about this hotel is the staff, they are all helpful, and willing to assist with a smile. At the restaurant included breakfast was very basic but it was nice to be greeted by the staff that were always attentive.

Didn't stay at the hotel to check the pool because we were always exploring but it was nice to return and find friendly faces.

It is not a luxury hotel, rooms are simple, but comfortable, but what really make the difference at this hotel is the customer care. All the staff of the hotel is very friendly, helpfull and always trying to do their best to make your stay as best as possible.
The hotel has a very nice pool for relaxing after the tours you do in Palenque region. The bar does not offer a great variety of drinks, but the barman and waiter really try the best to deligh customers and their cocktails are well prepared.
Again, if you looking for a fancy, 5 stars and luxury hotel, Plaza Palenque is not the place, but if you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing, calm and with a lovely staff, this is the place.

Room tip: Although I believe all rooms are, just make sure you have one viewing the pool

The room was nice but the pillows were hard, nice hot shower. Hard to get wi fi reception at the hotel . Get your money exchanged elsewhere as the exchange rate at the hotel is lousy. there was a lovely little pool for a swim.

Room tip: Ask for better pillows
