No frills super clean dormitory in the town and just a short walk from the ADO bus station. The place is super clean and the staff is friendly enough. Price is very good and location is central with easy access to the bus station, dining, and colectivos. Was the only person in the dorm during my two nights which was nice. Wifi is pretty good as well.

Initially we booked because elsewhere was full, but at $150 a night for the dorm, the place was very clean, the water hot, and the man who works the front desk is a fountain of knowledge for anything you could need for your travels.
There isn't a common room area, but both nights there I had good company up in the dorm, and who wants to stay in the hostel anyway!

The room is clean and spacious, and the location is good -- close to the bus terminal and easy to catch shuttle buses as well. Most importantly however, the staff here are super nice and helpful. They helped me book ADO ticket online and saved me 50% of the fare! (Usually you won't be able to do so as a foreigner since they require a Mexican credit card for online purchase, and the "compra anticipada" price is not available at the ticket office!)

I had a terrible experience with amigo tours which they forgot to pick me up to one of their over-priced tour after keeping me wait for them for 1.5 hours from 6am in the early morning with phone calls in between confirming they should be on the way 'soon'.

They didn't show up of course at the end and ruin my whole-day of holiday with all the distance from HK to Mexico. Luckily, my 1st Angel appeared - The staff and the owner of the hostel posada Nacha'n -- Ka'an. The staff there has helped me out make numerous phone calls to amigo tours to help confirm my tour and ask the time they were going to pick me up even though there were a lot of time amigo tours didn't pick up the phone. The owner of the hostel talked to the owner of Turístico Tulum my whole story and that's why I got connected with them and taken to the places which the amigo tour originally should have taken me to.

The staff and the owner of the hostel have been extremely helpful throughout my whole stay and the owner speaks fluent English which helps so much!!

I really don't know how to thank them except posting my excellent experience with them here. What the staff and the owner of the hostels have, which I also think it is what Mexico Tourism industry currently needs and lacks of based on my experience, is empathy and a heart to ensure their guests and clients have a good experience in Mexico. Here, in this small hostel, with the help of Jose, Eve and Damian, I, the first time, after more than a week in Mexico, I experienced it. Thank you so much for helping me out and forgive my tears I had when amigo tours said they forgot to pick me up after me waiting for them for 1.5 hours in the early morning.

I am forced to book this hostel even the reviews don't look good for me but it is the only cheap accommodation in town.
Good points:
1. Good location : 7 minutes walk from the bus station (just a straight road) and collectivo to the ruins just around the corner.
2. The dorm room is clean and spacious.
3. The dorm room is actually newly renovated.
4. Two sockets for each bed, more than enough.
5. I expected the staff don't speak english but actually one of the them can speak good English and they are helpful too.
6. There are two fans in the dorm room. The overall ventilation is okay.

Bad points :
1. The bathroom is okay (not very clean) but it has bad smell throughout the whole day.
2. Don't expect this is a typical "hostel". There is no common area and kitchen.
3. Need to walk for 3 floors for the dorm room.
4. Only one hot shower for the dorm room.
5. Always lack of toilet paper in the toilet.
6. I don't know why there is only one toilet in the dorm room is with toilet seat cover.
7. The building itself is old fashioned and ruin out.
8. The blanket is extremely thin. Although palenque is hot and humid, still it can be quite cold at night with the thin blanket.
9. The Wi-Fi signal is strong but slow.
