We stayed here on our way up to Ingham. We have too large but well behaved dogs and they were able to stay on our balcony for the night. Location is very convenient with the Truck stop next door, although that does make it a bit noisy. Staff were extremely friendly and obliging. we liked it so much that we booked a unit on our way back. Just what is needed after a long day of travel.

Room Tip: Unit one was well set out and you could watch television from bed but was a bit too close to the tru...

Had trouble getting any parks/motels to answer their phone at 6.30pm. Kept heading south from Sarina hoping to chance something and by luck spotted the small sign on the highway just before the BP garage at Camila.
Took the motel room, old but clean and comfortable. All facilities and roomy. I had room 4 and had no problems with traffic noise.
The truck refuel point is near the entry to the park and I did hear a few trucks when they came through but after 10pm I didn't notice much until about 6 am next morning.
Will be staying there when I travel north next time.
Also noted that the amenities were clean and close by all sites. Well grassed and drive-through for vans and motorhomes
I believe it is also pet friendly, but you should check this.

Room Tip: Rooms and sites at the eastern end will be quieter. ie higher room numbers

We stayed here after reading the other reviews and were not disappointed at all.
Don't have high expectations, it is beside a roadhouse and a tad noisy, but for the price it is clean and comfortable, good shower and clean bedding. Quite small units but for a one night stop just fine.
The beach 6kms away is worth a visit to see the huge tides and bird life at low tide.
The local pub is quaint and so outback QLD with friendly staff and locals.
The road does a HUGE highway burger 24/7.

Travelling south, had tried to stay in Mackay. No vacancies, nowhere to park, rang a few parks to no avail, so left town.
Travelling south again we stumbled on Carmila park, when we stopped for fuel. The fuel is cheap too. Asked for a powered site next door and surprise, surprise we got in, no trouble at all.
Drive thru sites (grassed),$25 per night (cheapest so far in Qld). Good hot showers and amenities, only thing missing was a soap holder in the shower. Very clean and tidy all round.
Pity we could only stay one night.

Room Tip: All good!!!!!

We were looking for somewhere to stay overnight on a long drive down to Brisbane with our dogs, kids and trailer and were very fortunate to choose this neat and tidy caravan park. It is co-located with a massive BP that is open 24 hours and serves decent meals, which was a great relief after a long day driving. We got time on the return trip to pop down to Carmila Beach which was beautiful and the dogs had a great time chasing fish in the shallows. The cabin was clean and surprisingly large, 3 rooms, with comfy beds and aircon. It also had a small deck where we put the dogs in their crates, and we were able to park our trailer next to the cabin, plenty of room. Although the park is next to the highway it was quiet. The owners were helpful and welcoming.

Room Tip: If you have dogs, choose a cabin rather than a hotel room so you can have them on the deck.
