Even though the weather was a bit damp, we had a great morning walking through the rainforest tracks. The scenery was lovely and the gorge was magnificent. The shuttle busses are really handy and make the trip from the shop to the gorge quick and easy for the family. The restaurant was great also.

We checked Trip Advisor when deciding where to go for a rainforest experience & took the advice of those who raved about Mossman Gorge. Boy, are we glad we did - it is wonderful. The boardwalks are incredible & give close access to the rainforest. The huge granite boulders in the river are fascinating & the whole setting stunning. Three hints. Use the $8.50 shuttle bus in - its a long walk & this is the only charge. Carry drinking water. Take the more difficult bottom path along the river back as there are several wonderful lookouts.
Great to see indigenous Australians graciously sharing their beautiful place and running such a fabulous enterprise.

I had been to the gorge 30 years ago and loved it but haveing the new bus shuttle, restaurant, board walks and cultural art and information has made me feel like I've been to a whole new place, and I loved it even more. The shop had great local crafted souveneers and the food was excellent. This is the way to protect our special places so we don't love them to death or over develop them and the local community benefits with jobs.

A walk through the Daintree rainforest is timeless. We parked at the visitor's centre and then caught the shuttle up to the walking tracks - definitely worth doing if you have children who will whinge if they are walking for too long. Mossman Gorge is spectacular.
