This is an absolute gem of a bed and breakfast and run by an absolutely wonderful couple, Bill and Jeanette, for whom nothing is too much trouble. Living in London, UK, I was lucky enough to find Seas The Day on the web for a surprise birthday celebration for my daughter who lives in Melbourne. She and her boyfriend stayed in the Captain's Quarters, a wonderful room, beautifully decorated, with own lounge and kitchen and lovely views over the ocean, and as if that was not enough, Bill and Jeanette also offered to arrange a birthday cake and champagne - and even made individual birthday cards for her out of messages from family/friends in the UK. They are an amazing couple who just make Seas The Day an incredible experience for all. I can't wait to come to Aus to visit Seas The Day myself! This is truly a unique B and B and has it all - great location, great room, great service. A perfect holiday all round. Thank you so much, Bill and Jeanette.

Thanks Jeanette & Bill for a glorious stay at your delightful intimate B&B. Nothing was too much trouble from a HUGE breakfast (or smaller if desired) to suggestions & assistance with sightseeing & dining out. The hot spa with candles & robes in the Balinese garden was very appreciated.Especially after a big day of sightseeing .We organised our 5 -day stay in the Melbourne area around this B&B as it sounded so enticing. We were well- rewarded with a stay beyond our expectations. Have stayed in B&B's all over Europe - this is the best experienced. Jeanette & Bill your attention to detail made this stay so enjoyable. Everywhere we turned we found something to make our stay more comfortable. Very welcoming. Wish all B&B's could be like this one-so spoiled! Sam & Bill

Room Tip: We stayed on the top floor. This apartment has a delightful feel with balcony& BBQ, many windows...

We've stayed at many B&B's during our travels and have to unquestionably rank Seas The Day on Phillip Island as one our best experiences. We only spent one night, but in retrospect would definitely spend more time exploring the island. Bill and Jeannette were wonderful hosts who have created an oasis with lovely gardens filled with interesting personal artistic touches and travel mementos. They teamed up to serve a wonderful cooked breakfast - the black pudding reminded us of our B&B stays in Scotland. We stayed in the Driftwood suite on the main floor which had it's own deck and garden at the front of the property. We really appreciated the wooly blankets at the Penguin Parade and were really glad we didn't have to use the available rain gear. If you're planning a trip to Phillip Island we would highly recommend Seas The Day but book enough time to see the island and enjoy this lovely B&B with it wonderful hosts.

Lorne & Sherril, what a great review. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay and realise what a lot there is to see on Phillip Island. We agree that one night is not enough to see all there is to see and we are often tempted to say this to guests who book a single night. Thanks heaps.

Decided on a last minute getaway down to Phillip Island for the weekend and after reading previous reviews we decided on Seas the Day B&B. So glad we did! We had the "Driftwood" suite, complete with private deck and garden, so gorgeous. The room itself was just so lovely, gorgeous beachy style knick-knacks everywhere really gave it an island feel. Your hosts, Bill and Jeanette, couldn't be more lovely and genuine, and more than happy to give you the local low-down. Jeanette whips up a delightful breakfast in the mornings and Bill does a mean egg!! Nothing is too much trouble for them. We will most certainly be recommending Seas the Day to anyone heading to Phillip Island!

Arriving at Seas The Day you are immediately enveloped by a feeling of tranquility, beauty and such a warm welcome from Jeanette and Bill. We stayed in 'Driftwood' and it was everything you could dream of and more, spotlessly clean, very comfy bed, every amenity you could need and just so peaceful. I wish we could have stayed longer! Enjoyed relaxing on the deck surrounded by the beautiful gardens having a cuppa, which was even more charming the next morning with the rain. Breakfast was amazing! Jeanette and Bill are wonderful and we are so grateful for what I can only describe as the best accommodation experience we've ever had. So glad we decided to stay as a gift to ourselves for our 30th anniversary. Thanks too Bill, the drive you recommended was spectacular. Would definitely stay again if visiting Phillip Island.

Thanks for your terrific review. In spite of poor weather it's great to know both of you enjoyed yourselves and were able to chill out. Hope Europe tour goes well and tell them to make sure they do seize the day.. Thanks and the pleasure was all ours.

Wonderful hosts in Bill & Jeanette who cannot do enough to make your stay warm & welcoming, it is hard to imagine their bnb only started late 2012, their attention to detail during our stay and communication leading to our arrival was exceptional. Prior reviewers all lauded the breakfast, well they did not exaggerate, Jeanette prepared plentiful & interesting elements (the black pudding a surprise treat) & Bill's skill in cooking our eggs to taste each morning made for daily highlights. We opted for the Captains Quarters upstairs, very spacious and well appointed, sitting on the deck each morning and afternoon in the sun exactly what we were looking for in our short break.

Seas the Day is located in a quiet spot, approx. 5 minutes by car to Cowes & shops and about the same to the penguins, the beach only a few minutes walk away, our long walks each morning just the tonic after our huge breakfast.

Bill & Jeanette have taken great pride in creating a wonderful homely destination with a beautiful garden which would be a great & cool haven in the heat of summer.

Room Tip: Captains Quarters in the autumn & winter with the sunshine streaming across the deck and into th...

Dear Bernie and Faye, thanks for your fantastic review. It's lovely to know that both of you really appreciate all the natural beauty to be found so close to our place. You shouldn't have mentioned the eggs, as Bill will think he is a better cook than I am. we hope to see you next time you decide to visit beautiful ventnor on Phillip Island.
