“Excellently hospitable and cute rooms”
Reviewed 28 March 2014

Bill and Jeanette are exceptionly welcoming hosts. The rooms are cute with homely touches everywhere you look and breakfast was delicious. They have thought of everything, DVDs if the weather is wet, a penguin survival pack of blankets etc and even a hot tub. Bills gardens both private and communal are stunning. It removes you from the hustle and bustle completely. Set in the picturesque Philip Island do yourself a favour and visit seas the day bnb.

Dear Declan and Emma, what a great review. We aim to make our guests happy. We haven't got acreage but the way we designed our compact gardens enables them to have seclusion and romance . Our property also serves as an ideal retreat from the real world. A place to ponder, reflect and chill out. That's why many of our guests leave our place with smiles on their faces. Thanks, and we hope to see you again someday. All the best from Jeanette & bill.

We randomly came access seas the day but will be definitely going back. We had such an amazing time. Everything was so fabulous and lovely. Bill and Jeanette are so precious I feel like I've known them for ages. Everything was perfect from our bed, , the gorgeous garden and and the amazing breakfast(specially the eggs ;)). Can't wait to go back for another relaxing weekend.

Dear Maziar & Niousha, what a lovely review and, it's a great compliment for us when our cosy coastal guesthouse has such an impact on one night stayers. It sounds as if you had a really romantic evening and enjoyed our compact but lush gardens. Thanks and we look forward to greeting you again. Best wishes from Jeanette (head cook and bottle washer ) & bill (the egg man).

Spent four incredible relaxing and romantic days at Seas the Day B&B. Bill and Jeanette are the hosts that really made our stay magical. The breakfast was superb and they went above and beyond their roles as hosts in order to insure that our stay was perfect. Great location with easy access to secluded, local beach. We highly recommend everyone to stay at Seas the Day B&B.

Dear Fred and Keri-lee, so glad you discovered one of the best kept island secrets, our local stunning & peaceful Ventnor beach is just a 2-3 minute walk straight down our quiet street. We are pleased to receive such a glowing review from you, and after reading it, you obviously enjoyed our home cooked breakfast and didn't leave our place hungry...hope to see both of you next time you visit the island. If you look at the reviews the Seas the Day have attracted it is difficult to say more.
Jeanette and Bill are the perfect hosts, we felt like we were meeting old friends, the saying arrive as strangers leave as friends was never more fitting. This was the only B&B of our two week trip but has opened my eyes as this was every bit as good as any 4-5 Star you will stay in as far as quality, cleanliness, and what a breakfast!!!
The attention to every detail by them both was outstanding, and the advice given to where to eat or visit was most helpful. They have a passion which shows through.
If we ever return to this area we will stay here, and for longer than the three nights we had.
One piece of advice forget booking anywhere else this is superb.
Thank you Jeanette and Bill from Donny & Karen

Dear Donny and Karen, your terrific review gave us goose pimples and we are so delighted you enjoyed your stay and left with full stomachs. Yes! Our secluded gardens are peaceful, except for chirping birds; and your own private Bali Hut amidst the lush palms and shrubs is a great shady place for an afternoon snooze. We loved having you here, all the best from Jeanette & Bill.

Actually, everything has already been said about this wonderful place on earth, but we feel the urge to join the praise.
As soon as we arrived and got to know our lovely apartment, the delightful eclectic garden and the kind owners we decided to add us another night.
Every day was just heavenly! Starting with the delicious breakfast with eggs to your liking (poached eggs are highly recommended!), French Press Coffee, fresh fruits, homemade muffins, crispy bacon, fried tomatoes and mushrooms, herbs from the garden etc. up to the uncomplicated help with our laundry and especially all the helpful tips for Phillip Island and beyond. Jeanette and Bill are simply wonderful hosts, born for this role and it is not least their unique personality that has made these wonderful stay a memorable stay. This is the place where we could be perfectly happy for the rest of our lives! Thank you

Dear Karin & Peter. What an awesome review. Greatly appreciated. When guests are happy we are happy, and we try to provide all the help, comforts, advice and service they require without them having to pay an arm and a leg for their stay at Seas the Day bed & breakfast, Phillip Island. I wish you hadn't mentioned Bill's eggs though, as his head is big enough already. Thanks again from jeanette and Bill.

This was our second visit to Seas the Day, and one year on from a great first visit, things somehow seem to be getting better and better. We stayed in the Captain's Quarters, which is the whole first floor. Almost like a private apartment, the highlights were the Home cinema system with reclining chairs, private bar, complete with complementary Port bottle. Bill and Jeanette were great hosts and spoiled us on our wedding anniversary, even laying on a personalised cake and bottle of champagne, which went down nicely in the outdoor spa! Seas the Day is well located in one of a few quiet spots on the island, but a stone's throw from the main sites. Bill and Jeanette have great local knowledge, but you'll be well located just to set out and explore and see what there is to see for yourself. Cooked breakfast and top notch fresh fruit each morning wrapped up another great stay at Seas the Day.

Dear Nick & Fiona, what an amazing review. We thought your first one was fantastic but with you staying in a different room this time, and with you writing another great review gives us a real pleasure. knowing both of you enjoyed your stay even more than the first time was the icing on the cake for us. Talk about cakes, with the wobbly looking names iced on your cake, you must have guessed it was written by me who is not a professional cake decorator, but it seemed to do the job of making your anniversary special. Have a nice day and we look forward to welcoming you again.

My wife & I stayed at Seas the Day for 2 nights whilst on a week-long circuit from Melbourne via the Great Alpine Road and Phillip Island.

Bill and Jeanette are fantastic hosts for whom nothing is too much trouble and their attention to detail and thoughtfulness has no parallel. As an example, the temperature was in the mid 40 degrees during our stay so Jeanette had put some ice creams in our fridge for us to come back to. Bill put a decanter of port in our room (for medicinal purposes, clearly). There's also a bag of provisions for those off to see the penguins with blankets, torches etc.

The property is a real oasis of tranquility with thoughtfully planted, secluded gardens. The accommodation we stayed in was characterful with bedroom, bathroom and hall plus a shaded deck and its own garden.

The breakfast Jeanette and Bill treated us to was without doubt the best cooked breakfast we had during our 5 weeks in Australia.

Thanks very much for a wonderful stay.

As you know, our lush secluded garden with lots of birds, shelters, nooks and crannies, plus a spa-pool enable our guests to retreat from the real world. making guests happy and reading your review is a real pleasure for us.
