“Beautiful cottage with stunning views”
Reviewed 8 October 2013 for a stay in September 2013

Beautiful cottage with stunning new kitchen and shower room upstairs. Wonderful views across the estuary. Made to feel very welcome with wine, shortbreads, milk and orange juice on arrival, with a lovely welcome for our pet dog Alfie. The cottage is superb and wonderfully comfortable and you could not wish for nicer hosts. Would definitely return to the cottage for another break, have been 3 times already! A lovely peaceful and relaxing holiday, would highly recommend to others. Thanks Judy and Nigel.
Best wishes, Jean, John and Alfie.

“A beautiful cottage with the most fabulous views.”
Reviewed 22 September 2013 for a stay in August 2013

This was most definetly a 5* cottage! We felt so relaxed both inside and outside as everything was as we would want it!
The views overlooking the river just made our time there so special, G & T's sat looking at the sunset...... superb. Our teenage boys thoroughly enjoyed having fires at night on the shore (remember to take marshmallows!) but especially loved kayaking and exploring the river. A big thanks to Nigel and Judy for your very kind help. The most relaxing week ever!

“Truly magical place... for all the family”
Reviewed 7 September 2013 for a stay in August 2013

We had one of the best holiday's we've ever had at Glan Yr Afon. The cottage is everything you could want in a holiday home and much more: stunning views of the estuary, access to the water's edge from the garden, good quality furnishings, the best equipped holiday kitchen you'll ever come across, really comfortable mattresses and linen, spotlessly clean, jigsaws, games and books a plenty... I could go on.

The garden is lovely for kids to play in, or just to sit out for an evening drink watching the sun go down.

Nigel and Judy couldn't be more welcoming - nothing was too much trouble. And the surround area is packed with delightful beaches, impressive castles, cliff top walks and more wildlife than you can keep track of.

We would recommend this holiday rental to all - it has gone down as a classic family holiday the kids are still raving about!

“Just like in a movie !”
Reviewed 21 August 2013 for a stay in July 2013

We spent a most beautiful holiday in Landshipping ! The owners are lovable people and perfect hosts who provided a warming welcome and a great goodbye. The location is just perfect : quiet and with great views on the estuary. When we arrived my wife said : 'this is just like stepping into a movie'.
The surroundings have lots of walking possibilities and not to forget : an interesting historical heritage to be visited.
The house itself is so welcoming and filled with books and good music that a rainy day can never be a problem.
It was our first trip to Wales, but surely not our last; and when we return Glan yr Afon will be on top of the list !

“A magical combination of peace, tranquility & luxury - who could ask for more!”
Reviewed 16 June 2013 for a stay in June 2013

As regular self-catering holiday makers, we thought Glan-yr-Afon rated as one of the best. Ideally situated, the views of the estuary are stunning, especially the sunsets on a summer evening. The accommodation was of a particularly high standard, all rooms immaculately and beautifully presented with all the amenities you could possibly need. The owners Nigel & Judy are delightful and made us feel most welcome. We would love to return Glan-yr-Afon and would definitely recommend to anybody who is looking for a holiday which offers peace, tranquility and a little luxury!

“Fantastic accommodation”
Reviewed 2 June 2013 for a stay in May 2013

Fantastic accommodation - 5* rating well deserved, amazingly equipped and beautifully furnished, we couldn't have asked for anything better. Nigel and Judy are so thoughtful too, lovely welcoming and a cot and stairgate up on our arrival for our 1yr old. Hope to visit again and would definitely recommend to friends.
