“Superior accommodation with lovely atmosphere”
Reviewed 12 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

My husband and I had a lovely time here with daughter, son in law and their two young children, as well as son in law's mum. A lovely family get together. Everything we could have wanted regarding cleanliness, utensils and seating comfort. Owners went out of their way to ensure we had a great holiday. You need a car to get around, but we found some lovely places to visit, including a great beach at Saundersfoot. Would thoroughly recommend this lovely cottage in a beautiful setting..

“Perfect cottage in a beautiful location”
Reviewed 3 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Stayed at the wonderful Glan Yr Afon for a week, family of 4 including 2 children, 11 and 15 years old. The cottage has everything you need for an amazing holiday. Nigel and Judy were fantastic hosts and extremely helpful from booking holiday to leaving the cottage. The cottage is in an idyllic location overlooking the estuary, close to lots of beautiful beaches, our favourite being Barafundle Bay. There was plenty of games both indoors and outdoors for the children. Our dog Fletcher came with us and loved the walks around the cottage. We really enjoyed our stay here and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cottage.

“Wonderful in every way.”
Reviewed 9 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Waters Edge is top notch in every way. My family (2 adults and 3 children:18,16,12) stayed for a week. The owners Judy and Nigel were warm, welcoming and approachable and had clearly spent a great deal of time and effort ensuring that the accommodation was of the highest standard; the attention to detail is considerable and means that once we arrived we really could relax and enjoy ourselves. The view of the estuary from every room is simply stunning. We have stayed in many cottages and apartments over the years but few come close to the high standards we encountered at Waters Edge.

We would recommend a visit to Tenby and the Seal Safari was excellent too (booked on the quay), Caldey Island is also well worth a visit. We enjoyed excellent burgers at Indie Burger. The National Botanic Garden of Wales was beautiful. We walked various sections of the coast path and can recommend the circular walk from the NT car park at Bosherton Lily ponds, down to South beach and over to Barafundle bay and back through the woods and fields. Homemade icecream at 'Fire and Ice' in Narberth was delicious. Finally the leisure centre at Haverfordwest was good for badminton, swimming and wifi on a rainy day, as was ten pin bowling in Milford Haven.

Best of all, every day we returned to the comfort, luxury and wonderful views at Waters Edge - we loved it.

Liked best: The view and the quality of the accommodation.
Liked least: Wifi is limited, something we hadn't picked up on from the information about the place. It is possible to pay for more but this is not something we wanted to do.

“The perfect place for a week of peace and quiet, scenic walks and lazy beach days.”
Reviewed 10 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We have just returned from our third visit to Waters Edge and although the British weather was hit and miss, the same cannot be said for the holiday cottage. On arrival we were greeted with wine, biscuits, orange juice and milk, which highlights the detail Nigel and Judy go-to, to make you feel welcome and at home straight from the start. The cottage has everything you need to enjoy your time away, anything you could possibly need is catered for. Our first visit to the cottage was during October and the cosy snug and log fire made for a cosy evening in. During our last and most recent visit the tranquillity of the garden and magnificent views helped recharge our batteries and completely chill out, resulting in more than one garden siesta. Saundersfoot is a short drive away, with a beautiful beach and harbour, plenty of parking, and local shops to browse and places to eat and drink. Wiseman's bridge is worth walking to, Lawrenney Quayside has a quaint café with daily specials and home cooked food and cakes; the sticky ginger cake and mackerel pate are highly recommended.
If a break away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life is what you are looking for, we cannot recommend Waters Edge enough, our first visit was with our elderly mother and grown up daughter, our second visit was just us and our dog, and we look forward to going back for our 4th visit in the not too distant future.

“Wonderful cottage in a stunning location.”
Reviewed 28 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

We enjoyed a lovely family holiday at Waters Edge with our son and daughter, their partners, their two dogs and our two young grandsons for a week in June. The cottage is wonderful and in a superb location! It is very comfortable, has excellent facilities and feels like a 'real home'. We also loved the stunning views over the estuary and walks down to the shore, amazing sun sets, and relaxing in a peaceful private garden which has a little summer house with some chairs and games. Nigel and Judy are wonderful hosts who take a lot of care of their cottage and guests. We felt very welcome on arrival being greeted by fresh flowers, wine and biscuits and some basics in the fridge. Nigel kindly lent us his boat trailer to help us launch our small boat from the nearby jetty and we enjoyed cruising around the estuary one day. We also liked shopping in Narberth and visits to beautiful local attractions and beaches which included Picton Castle & Gardens, Saundersfoot, Bosherston Lily Ponds & Broad Haven, Stackpole Estate & Barafundle Bay. This is one of the best places we have stayed in Wales and we are looking forward to coming again!

“Superb cottage in a peaceful yet convenient location.”
Reviewed 27 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

We (me, wife, 2 & 5 year old kids) stayed for a week in June. The cottage looked great on the photos on the Internet, but in person it's even better! Loads of space and the garden was great for the kids: self contained and loads of toys/games in the summer house. During our stay we visited a different place every day and due to the central location of the cottage we could get to south or west coast in less than 30 mins.
Nigel and Judy were lovely people and very helpful when called upon.
Would definitely visit again!

“Chill out time, stunning scenery, excellent cottage. great hosts”
Reviewed 11 April 2016 for a stay in March 2016

2nd time we have had the pleasure of holidaying at "waters edge cottage it as the most beautiful views out over the estuary. We have been visiting Pembrokeshire for around 40 years now, and this is the most well equipped and comfortable cottage we have stayed in. Hosts Judy and Nigel make you really welcome, there was a lovely easter egg surprise for the grandchildren and shortbread biscuits with a nice bottle of wine left on the table to start our holiday. very much appreciated thanks.
If you want peace and quiet and a relaxing holiday with stunning scenery, countryside etc lovely garden and a summerhouse then this is for you.
Son and daughter-in-law 2 grandchildren and our two Labradors plus terrier pets all loved it and wish to return very soon.
