This hotel is rated as a 3*, but add a hairdryer and a bathrobe and you've got a 4*, although it's not a trendy up to date hotel, it suits the style of the building, the added bonus of the spa, it feels a whole lot grander than your average hotel of 3*, the gardens are beautiful, staff really helpful, and very pleasant, and the head waiter in the restaurant was very happy to explain everything, wine and food, you don't get many gems like this for the price, also I had the best night sleep, so quiet and beds very comfy.

Set in beautiful grounds, this hotel definitely gives you the wow factor as you approach along the long drive way surrounded by rhododendrons. The gardens aren't at their best yet due to the time of year, but the children still loved playing on the lawns. The food was brilliant and the team serving the wedding breakfast were attentive and gave a seamless service. The rooms are comfortable and clean, I only wish that they would let you check in from midday rather than 2 PM, as it would have made things easier with the children as I couldn't find suitable baby change facilities. The breakfast the following day was nice with a good selection, but the young girls needed to be put in check and prevented from standing looking bored and chatting rather than clearing plates and replenishing the buffet like they should have been. Small niggly things that if improved would have pushed my review up to a 5 star rather than 4! Overall really pleasant!

Dear Hannah D,

Thank you so much for your lovely review, I am so pleased you had an enjoyable stay and the wedding day went so well. Our grounds are what help make us unique and it is lovely to read they gave the event a real WOW factor.

Due to guests checking out it isn’t possible for us to guarantee bedrooms by midday for check in, we always try and have rooms available as early as possible.

We have a number of baby changing facilities available, near to the wedding suites and just off the main hall next to the other restrooms.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the BEST WESTERN Chilworth Manor again in the near future.

Stayed for a 2 night break (including breakfast) with my Mum, paid for with Tesco Clubcard points. Also had a spa day package on the second day from Travelzoo, which included 2 treatments & lunch. The Edwardian manor house hotel looks stunning both inside & out & the grounds are fantastic. We enjoyed walking round both the hotel gardens & the neighbouring conservation area. Our stay was wonderfully relaxing & we could not fault the food, we had dinner in the restaurant on the second evening there. I would definitely return & definitely recommend.

Most comfortable hotel with good breakfast and good meeting room and service. Also appreciated having the help pages from a Gideon bible in the bedroom at hand......will try to come again. Very nice gardens and able to use outside areas for workshop training exercises. Staff very friendly. Bed was comfortable and the ambience extremely pleasant thus facilitating a very successful sakes meeting and training course get together .

My partner and I booked a room here as we were attending a social event. We were greeted by a lady on reception named Viv, who was lovely and very welcoming.
We did struggle to find our room, as it did seem a little like a maze at one point.
Our room was small but very pleasant. Spotlessly clean and airy. The spa facilities were excellent, with a very spacious pool and it was lovely and quiet.

We didn't eat in the restaurant so I cannot comment about food, but overall we felt it was exceptional value for the amount we paid. This hotel is set in beautiful grounds. We went for a lovely walk around the grounds in the morning. The whole building and surrounding area had a feeling of tranquillity and peace.
We recommended this hotel to my sister and her partner who booked and stayed last week and they felt the same as we did about it. I am hoping to book a girlie weekend with my girlfriends for my birthday in July and I am really looking forward to returning.
