Food is good quality and fair priced. Staff are polite enough for a fish and chip shop and are well presented and clean. clean and well presented place. Would go again worth a try if your passing best fish and chips I've had in a while.. Nice chips a a crispy sausage for a change, fish is of a good size compared to others to

Been in here a few times and every time the service has been abrupt, to the point of bordering on rude.

The portions have slowly shrunk over time whilst prices have crept up. Quality is average but the cod tastes quite stale, like it's been hanging around a while or perhaps it's a different fish?

My advice would be to save your money and go to either the Testwood Chef or the Totton Fish Bar who, IMHO, are far superior not only in price and quality, but in attitude too.

I was very disappointed when visiting goodies, following reading good reviews.

The fish was undercooked and the chips were just awful, it left me and my partner ill for days after.

Would not recommend or visit again and will definitely not let my family go there when they visit me.

Avoid this place!

Goodies has really gone down hill. I recently visited and experienced:

1. Rude staff (The 'Boss'?)
2. Small portions
3. Expensive
4. Batter soggy
5. Cod that didn't taste like cod!

My Husband has recently been diagnosed with coeliac disease, we were delighted when someone mentioned Goodies had a Gluten free Wednesday. Now what .does every portion of chips need? salt and vinegar of course, not according to the girl behind the counter, when asked for vinegar, she pointed to the bottle on the counter, which of course being Malt vinegar contains Gluten, which then made my Husband decide that he was not going to eat the chips he had paid for, because if they don't know that then what else have got wrong, cross contamination maybe etc, Gluten can make him seriously ill, so poor show Goodies, don't advertise Gluten free if you cant sort out a basic condiment FYI white wine vinegar would of been fine!
